Abu Dhabi at a glance
The Emirate of Abu Dhabi had about 4.1 million residents in 2024 (Statistics Centre Abu Dhabi), and its private sector grows around three anchors: energy, government and capital. Mussafah's workshops and yards serve oil and construction sites, KIZAD hosts manufacturers and logistics firms, and Al Maryah Island houses ADGM's financial and advisory businesses. Masdar City and the universities add research and technology tenants.
Licences are issued through TAMM and the Abu Dhabi Registration Authority under ADDED, membership runs through the Abu Dhabi Chamber, and VAT and Corporate Tax are filed with the Federal Tax Authority. For a supplier the burden is documentation: tender files, project budgets, maintenance logs and invoices that a large buyer will audit. Skyline Nexus ERP keeps them linked to one ledger.
The supply chain behind ADNOC and its partners runs through Mussafah and KEZAD: fabrication yards, valve and pipe stockists, inspection firms and equipment renters. Jobs arrive as call-offs against frame agreements, materials must be traceable to the purchase order, and equipment sent offshore must come back inspected. From the e-invoicing go-live dates, B2B invoices in this chain will travel through Peppol-connected service providers.
Skyline Nexus ERP runs each call-off or site job as a project with material requisitions, budgets and costs, and holds stock per yard with FIFO costing. Rental and offshore equipment is registered as assets, with CMMS preventive maintenance and inspection work orders before each mobilisation. Until an ASP connector exists, Abu Dhabi suppliers would pass invoices from Skyline Nexus through their provider's portal.
As the federal capital, Abu Dhabi buys services from a wide range of private firms, from facilities management and catering to IT and construction. Government entities themselves come into UAE e-invoicing on 1 October 2027, and their suppliers will need to send structured invoices too. Until then, accurate bilingual tax invoices and clean contract records remain the standard that procurement teams check.
Skyline Nexus ERP keeps each government contract as a project with milestones and budgets, and the CMMS module handles service requests, permits and preventive maintenance for facilities contracts. Budget vs Actual shows overspend per contract, and journals above an approval threshold go through submit and approve steps. An Abu Dhabi supplier can export the Audit Pack when an entity's auditors ask for it.
Al Maryah Island and ADGM host asset managers, family offices, holding companies and the advisers who serve them. Their books span several legal entities, intercompany loans, investments in more than one currency and a Corporate Tax position at 9% on taxable income above AED 375,000. Auditors expect a clean trail from every balance back to the journal that created it.
Skyline Nexus ERP can consolidate separate businesses into a group, with ownership percentages, intercompany account mapping and eliminations. Each journal shows who created, approved and posted it, the Audit Trail keeps old and new values, and periods can be locked once reported. Foreign-currency invoices carry a rate you enter, while each Abu Dhabi entity's ledger stays in its base currency.

B2C is out of scope. Nexus prints compliant bilingual tax invoices, but cannot yet send PINT AE e-invoices.

VAT in Abu Dhabi, as across the UAE, is 5%; exports are zero-rated and some financial services and residential property are exempt. Tax invoices may be in English, with an Arabic translation if the FTA asks. They show the 15-digit TRN and VAT in AED, carry no QR code, and must be issued within 14 days of supply. Keep records for 5 years, or 15 for real estate.
Mandatory e-invoicing uses the PINT AE format through an Accredited Service Provider. As of October 2026, firms with revenue of AED 50 million or more appoint an ASP by 30 October 2026 and go live on 1 January 2027; others follow by 31 March and 1 July 2027. Skyline Nexus ERP prints compliant tax invoices today but has no PINT AE output or ASP connection yet.
An Abu Dhabi contractor usually moves its equipment register first, then stock per yard and open projects, then customers and suppliers with balances. Skyline Nexus ERP imports each of these from spreadsheet templates, and the GL Opening Balances screen checks that the set balances. Groups create each legal entity as its own business before linking them for consolidation.
The free trial is the place to test a call-off from requisition to invoice, or a monthly close with consolidation. Support is by WhatsApp, phone and e-mail in English; there is no local office. Book a demo if you hold several entities, supply government entities or need an ASP plan for 2027.
Not yet. As of October 2026, Skyline Nexus ERP issues bilingual UAE tax invoices but does not generate PINT AE files or connect to an Accredited Service Provider. An Abu Dhabi business in scope would use its provider's portal or upload invoices manually until a connector exists, and should appoint its ASP by the date for its revenue band.
Government entities join UAE e-invoicing on 1 October 2027, so suppliers to Abu Dhabi government entities need structured invoices by then. A supplier's own B2B obligation starts earlier: 1 January 2027 for revenue of AED 50 million or more, and 1 July 2027 for everyone else, each through an Accredited Service Provider.
A fabrication yard in Mussafah, Abu Dhabi, can register cranes, welders and rental equipment as assets in Skyline Nexus ERP, schedule preventive maintenance and inspections in CMMS, and raise work orders before each mobilisation. Repair costs stay on the asset, and depreciation runs monthly from the asset register.
Skyline Nexus ERP consolidates separate businesses into a business group with a base currency, ownership percentages, consolidation methods and intercompany account mapping, then eliminates intercompany balances in each consolidation period. Each subsidiary is set up as its own business, which suits a holding structure on Al Maryah Island.
Yes. UAE tax invoices may be issued in English, and the FTA can request an Arabic translation. Skyline Nexus ERP prints English or bilingual English and Arabic layouts, so an Abu Dhabi business can keep one format for local buyers and a bilingual version for government and procurement teams.
No. Skyline Nexus ERP keeps the ledger, the financial statements and an Audit Pack workbook that support a Corporate Tax return, but the return is filed with the Federal Tax Authority outside the product. An Abu Dhabi company or its tax adviser prepares the filing from those reports.
An Abu Dhabi company creates each open project in Skyline Nexus ERP with its tasks, milestones, budget and contract, then imports equipment, stock and contacts from the spreadsheet templates. GL opening balances are entered on a screen that requires debits to equal credits, so work in progress starts from agreed figures.
Skyline Nexus ERP is a cloud service run by Skyline Industrial Solution. We have no office in Abu Dhabi; support is by WhatsApp, phone and e-mail.
