Amsterdam, Netherlands
Skyline Nexus ERP gives Amsterdam fintechs, hospitality groups and creative studios one ledger for consolidation, outlets, projects and btw-compliant invoicing.
Dutch law requires no fiscal till, so the Skyline Nexus POS can run hospitality counters, and Peppol BIS files can be generated, though not yet sent over Peppol.
Plans from €17 per month, plus VAT where it applies · Prices for Netherlands, in EUR.
Amsterdam at a glance
Amsterdam has about 935,000 residents, and CBS counted around 209,500 business establishments in the municipality in 2025. Banks, fintechs and law firms concentrate in the Zuidas, hotels and restaurants fill the Centrum, creative studios have settled around the NDSM wharf in Amsterdam-Noord, and Sloterdijk and Westpoort combine offices with port and airport logistics.
Every company registers with the KVK, whose number belongs on each invoice, and files btw returns with the Belastingdienst. The admin load is less about rates than detail: the right btw-id format, reverse charge wording for foreign clients, and invoices issued by the 15th of the following month. Skyline Nexus ERP keeps these details on contacts and invoice layouts, so an Amsterdam business gets them right by default.
Fintech scale-ups in the Zuidas usually grow as a Dutch BV with subsidiaries abroad and investors who expect monthly reporting. Skyline Nexus ERP runs each company as its own business and consolidates them, translating member trial balances into the group currency and eliminating intercompany balances. The profit and loss compares with the previous period or year, and Changes in Equity shows the effect of each funding round.
Investors and auditors also ask about controls. Skyline Nexus sends manual journals above a threshold for approval, locks closed periods and records every change in an audit trail with old and new values. Invoices to customers abroad can be issued in pounds or dollars at an entered rate, while the books themselves remain in euros.
Amsterdam's hotels, restaurants and event companies serve visitors all year, from canal-side cafés to congresses at the RAI and concerts at the ArenA. Dutch law requires no fiscal cash register, so the POS in Skyline Nexus ERP can run counters and restaurant service with its kitchen features, while each outlet keeps its own stock of food and drink, valued by FIFO.
Event caterers and organisers run each congress or festival as a project with a budget and a contract, book staff, equipment and supplier costs against it, and invoice the client from the same system. Room and kitchen repairs go through CMMS work orders. Reservations and guest profiles stay in the hotel's own booking system; Skyline Nexus handles purchasing, stock, maintenance and accounts.
Designers, film producers, game developers and agencies at the NDSM wharf and across Amsterdam work project by project, often for clients in other EU countries. Skyline Nexus ERP sets up each commission as a project with a budget and milestones, tags freelancer and production costs to it, and shows the margin before the final invoice goes out.
Invoices to business clients elsewhere in the EU carry the reverse charge note btw verlegd and the client's VAT ID, which Skyline Nexus stores on the contact. Smaller studios under the KOR small business scheme show no btw at all, which Skyline Nexus handles with a zero rate and the scheme's note on the invoice. The CRM keeps pitches, proposals and follow-ups in one list.

As of October 2026, an Amsterdam invoice follows Wet OB art. 35a: the btw-id rather than the omzetbelastingnummer, the KVK number, a sequential number, the rate and the btw amount, normally 21% or 9%. Invoices up to EUR 100 including btw may be simplified, except for intra-EU supplies. Businesses using the KOR, with turnover up to EUR 20,000, show no btw and state that the scheme applies.
Invoices and records are kept for 7 years, and 10 years for real estate. No QR code or fiscal till is required, and an optional GiroCode is supported. E-invoicing is mandatory only for suppliers to central government, via Peppol: Skyline Nexus ERP can generate Peppol BIS files but cannot send them over Peppol yet. From 1 July 2030 EU digital reporting applies to intra-EU B2B trade.
An Amsterdam company moving to Skyline Nexus ERP imports its chart of accounts, then customers and suppliers with btw-ids and open balances, then products with opening stock per outlet or warehouse. GL opening balances then go onto a single screen that must balance before it saves. Groups add each subsidiary as its own business and define the consolidation group with ownership percentages.
The free trial gives an Amsterdam team room to run a week of restaurant sales, a client project or a consolidation with real data. Support is by WhatsApp, phone and e-mail in English, and Skyline Nexus ERP has no office in Amsterdam. Suppliers to central government, who need Peppol delivery today, and groups with several countries should book a demo first.
Yes. Skyline Nexus ERP runs each company of an Amsterdam fintech group as a separate business and consolidates them with ownership percentages, translation into the group currency and intercompany eliminations. Consolidation periods can be approved and locked, and the group statements sit next to journal approvals and an audit trail that investors and auditors can rely on.
Yes. The Netherlands requires no fiscal cash register, so an Amsterdam restaurant can use the Skyline Nexus ERP POS with its kitchen features for counter and table service. Each outlet keeps its own stock, purchases post to the ledger, and the Register Report shows each cash register's takings for reconciliation.
Not yet. Skyline Nexus ERP can generate Peppol BIS Billing 3.0 files, but it cannot send them over Peppol or to the government's supplier portals. An Amsterdam supplier to central government therefore needs another delivery route for now, while invoices to private customers can go out as PDF, which remains valid.
As of October 2026, an invoice from an Amsterdam company shows the btw-id, the KVK number, a sequential number, the date, the supply, the btw rate and the btw amount under Wet OB art. 35a. Reverse charge invoices add btw verlegd and the customer's VAT ID. Skyline Nexus ERP stores these identifiers on the business and contact records.
Skyline Nexus ERP works for a creative studio in Amsterdam-Noord that wants to see the margin of each commission. Projects carry budgets and milestones, freelancer and production costs are tagged to them, and invoices to EU clients include the reverse charge wording. Studios under the KOR invoice with a zero rate and the scheme's note.
Skyline Nexus ERP is available in English and Arabic, with interface translations for many other languages, including Dutch, and untranslated screens fall back to English. Each user picks a language, which suits international teams in Amsterdam. The books are kept in euros, and invoices can be issued in other currencies at an entered rate.
An Amsterdam business imports its chart of accounts, contacts with btw-ids and open balances, and products with opening stock into Skyline Nexus ERP from CSV or XLSX templates, then enters balanced GL opening balances. Moving at a quarter end lines the first btw return up neatly with the new system.
