Delhi at a glance
Delhi is a Union Territory with its own legislature, and that shapes its business life as much as its size does. Old Delhi's wholesale lanes, Sadar Bazar, Chandni Chowk, Khari Baoli and Chawri Bazar, supply traders across North India; Karol Bagh, Lajpat Nagar, Connaught Place and Nehru Place sell to shoppers; and units in Okhla, Naraina, Mayapuri, Wazirpur, Bawana and Narela make engineering goods, garments and print.
A typical Delhi business registers for GST on the GST portal, takes a trade or health licence from the Municipal Corporation of Delhi where its activity needs one, and, if it is a micro or small enterprise, files a free Udyam Registration. Planned commercial and industrial land is the business of the Delhi Development Authority. Many firms here also sell into Gurugram, Faridabad and Noida, which means two different State tax regimes sit a short drive away.
A Khari Baoli spice merchant or a Sadar Bazar household-goods dealer lives on credit and volume: stock arrives by the truckload, retailers from Punjab to Bihar buy on account, and the real question each evening is who owes how much and what is left in the godown. Many such firms still keep a credit book at the gaddi and a separate set of books with their accountant, reconciled when the year closes.
Skyline Nexus ERP keeps that trade in one place. Customers are imported with GSTIN and opening balances, sales invoices raise receivables, and receivable ageing shows overdue accounts by age band. Purchases and supplier payments post to payables, and stock is held per godown with FIFO or LIFO costing, so margin per item is real. For a buyer in another State, staff choose the IGST tax group on the invoice; Skyline Nexus does not switch it automatically.
Delhi retail runs from crowded market lanes to air-conditioned showrooms. A family business might own a saree shop in Karol Bagh, a second outlet in Lajpat Nagar and a stall at Nehru Place selling laptops and accessories, each with its own cash drawer, staff and stock. The owner wants to know at night which outlet sold what, which items are running short and how much cash should be in each drawer.
In Skyline Nexus ERP each outlet is a business location with its own invoice numbering, invoice layout, payment methods and stock. The POS supports cash registers, and sweet shops and dry-fruit counters can use weighing-scale integration. Staff see only the outlets they are assigned to, stock transfers move goods between outlets, and location-wise stock reports flag what needs reordering. Profit and loss can be read per outlet or for the whole business.
Picture a Chandni Chowk fabric wholesaler using one of the typical billing apps. Bills print with GST and stock counts fall as goods leave, but the books are often kept by an accountant in a separate package, so the trial balance is rebuilt at month or year end. A ledger-only credit-book app would record dues from retailers but not stock, purchases or a full double-entry ledger, and a separate accounting package keeps strong books once the sales are re-keyed.
With Skyline Nexus ERP, once Auto-post Sales Transactions is switched on, every final sale posts a balanced journal for sales, output tax, cost of goods and inventory right after it is saved. Purchases, payments and expenses post the same way, so the wholesaler's trial balance, profit and loss and balance sheet are current and can be filtered by branch. Some billing apps are ahead today on IRN and e-way bills, which Skyline Nexus does not handle yet.
India tax integration
Delhi has GST State code 07: every GSTIN registered in Delhi starts with 07. Sales inside Delhi carry CGST + SGST; sales to another State carry IGST. A branch in another State needs its own GSTIN and the right place of supply on each invoice: in Skyline Nexus ERP you choose the intra-State or inter-State tax group on the sale.
GST rates in force since 22 September 2025 (5%, 18%, 40%; 0.25%, 1.5% and 3% for stones and jewellery) and older rates for past periods; a cess as an extra component of a tax group.
Tax groups combining CGST + SGST (or UTGST) into one rate, plus IGST rates, set per product and chosen per sale.
Prices entered tax-inclusive or tax-exclusive per product; the POS works out the tax either way.
Your GSTIN as the business tax number and the customer's GSTIN on the contact record, both printed on invoices.
An HSN column on invoices from the product category code, an editable invoice heading (for example "Tax Invoice" or "Bill of Supply") and a receipt design that prints each tax component in its own column.
Credit notes for sales returns, debit notes for sales and purchases, and purchase returns.
With auto-posting on, every final sale, return, purchase and expense posts output or input tax to its own ledger account, matching the tax report.
Branches with their own invoice numbering and invoice layout; a branch's own GSTIN can be printed on its invoices from a location field.
Tax report: input tax on purchases, output tax on sales and tax on expenses for any period, branch or contact.
Trial balance, general ledger and day book with the input and output tax accounts, exported to Excel or PDF.
Audit Pack: one Excel workbook with trial balance, balance sheet, P&L, journals, sales, purchases and a ledger tax summary.
Sales and purchase lists your chartered accountant can use to prepare GST returns. Skyline Nexus ERP does not file returns itself.
Automatic CGST + SGST or IGST from the place of supply.
HSN and SAC codes per item with validation, and separate B2B, B2C and export invoice types.
GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B style summaries and input tax credit matching: ask us.
E-invoicing through the Invoice Registration Portal (IRN and signed QR): the India connector is built but not live. Ask us for your go-live date.
E-way bills and direct filing on the GST portal.
Reverse-charge marking for India, TDS and TCS.
Indian payroll items (PF, ESI, professional tax) are not offered: payroll in Skyline Nexus ERP is built for Saudi Arabia.

Every GSTIN registered in Delhi begins with the State code 07. Because Delhi has a legislature, it is not covered by the UTGST Act: sales within Delhi carry CGST plus SGST, and sales to Haryana, Uttar Pradesh or any other State carry IGST. Registration is due above INR 20 lakh aggregate turnover in a financial year, or INR 40 lakh for suppliers of goods only, except ice cream, pan masala and tobacco; some suppliers must register regardless of turnover.
In Skyline Nexus ERP you set up tax groups such as CGST 9% plus SGST 9% for local sales and IGST 18% for sales outside Delhi, pick the right one yourself, and can print an HSN column from the category code. A Delhi supplier above INR 5 crore aggregate turnover must report B2B invoices to the IRP for an IRN, which Skyline Nexus does not do yet. E-way bills and GSTR returns are not produced either; India onboarding is by waitlist and demo.
Delhi businesses join Skyline Nexus ERP through the India waitlist and a demo: use Join the waitlist, Book a demo or Ask on WhatsApp on this page. Support is by WhatsApp, phone and e-mail, and there is no office in India or in Delhi, so the demo is held online. Wholesalers with several godowns and retailers with more than one market outlet get the most from a guided demo.
Prepare your item list and opening stock for CSV import, customers and suppliers with GSTIN and opening balances, your chart of accounts and the list of outlets and godowns you run across Delhi. Skyline Nexus is configured with a financial year starting in April, INR as the currency, dd-mm-yyyy dates and amounts in words in lakh and crore, the way Delhi accountants read an invoice.
A Delhi business charges CGST plus SGST on sales within Delhi, because Delhi has its own legislature and is not listed in the UTGST Act. Sales to customers in other States carry IGST at the full rate. In Skyline Nexus ERP you create both tax groups and choose the right one on each invoice, since Skyline Nexus does not yet switch groups by place of supply.
A shop in Delhi must register for GST once aggregate turnover passes INR 20 lakh in a financial year, or INR 40 lakh if it supplies goods only and does not deal in ice cream, pan masala or tobacco. Some suppliers must register whatever their turnover. Every Delhi GSTIN starts with 07, and Skyline Nexus ERP stores it on the business and on each customer.
Yes. Skyline Nexus ERP records each credit sale as a receivable, imports opening balances for existing retailers and shows receivable ageing by customer. Payments received reduce the balance and post to the ledger, so an Old Delhi wholesaler sees dues and stock in the same system. Retailers in other States are billed with an IGST tax group chosen by staff.
Skyline Nexus ERP treats each outlet as a business location with its own invoice numbering, layout, cash register and stock, so a retailer with shops in Karol Bagh and Lajpat Nagar can see sales and stock per shop. Staff can be limited to their own outlet, and the profit and loss account can be read for one shop or for both together.
Many billing apps used in Delhi print GST bills and count stock, while the books are often kept elsewhere and rebuilt at month end. Skyline Nexus ERP posts each final sale to a double-entry ledger once auto-posting is on, so the trial balance and balance sheet stay current. Some billing apps still lead on IRN, e-way bills and offline billing, which Skyline Nexus does not offer yet.
Skyline Nexus ERP runs in English and a Hindi interface translation is available, so counter staff in a Delhi shop can work in Hindi while the owner uses English. Amounts are in INR, dates can follow dd-mm-yyyy, the financial year starts in April and invoices can print the amount in words in lakh and crore.
A Delhi business starts by joining the India waitlist or booking a demo of Skyline Nexus ERP on this page, or by asking on WhatsApp. Item lists, opening stock, customer and supplier balances and the chart of accounts can all be imported from CSV files.
