Uttar Pradesh at a glance
Uttar Pradesh is less one market than a string of specialised districts. The One District One Product programme lists brassware in Moradabad, glassware in Firozabad, locks in Aligarh, carpets in Bhadohi, sports goods in Meerut and leather in Kanpur and Agra, while Noida and Greater Noida host electronics and services.
Firms register for GST with the Commercial Taxes Department of Uttar Pradesh and look to Invest UP for investment facilitation. Industrial land comes from UPSIDA estates or, along the new expressways, from UPEIDA. A growing company soon runs units and depots in several districts, and the head office struggles to see stock and profit per site.
A Moradabad brassware exporter, a Firozabad glass bangle unit and an Aligarh lock maker share one problem: many small inputs, piece-rate work and orders that move between stages and buildings. Costing a lot or a container by hand is slow, and unsold stock hides in back rooms of the cluster workshops.
Skyline Nexus ERP brings manufacturing work orders, bills of materials and routings into the same system as purchases, stock per location and accounts. Cost centres separate one unit from another, FIFO or LIFO costing sets the cost of goods sold, and the CMMS module plans maintenance on furnaces, presses and looms.
UPEIDA's expressways link Agra and Lucknow, run east on the Purvanchal route and south through Bundelkhand, and the Defence Industrial Corridor adds nodes along them. A distributor of FMCG, building material or pharma in Uttar Pradesh now covers several districts from depots in Kanpur, Lucknow or the Noida belt, with salesmen collecting from hundreds of retailers.
Skyline Nexus ERP treats each depot as a business location with its own stock, invoice series and payment methods, and moves goods by stock transfer. Receivable ageing shows which district is slow to pay, users only see their own depots, and the Audit Pack exports the year's trial balance, ledgers, sales and purchases into one Excel workbook for the auditor.
A Meerut-to-Varanasi distributor often ends up with a billing app in each depot, which prints GST bills and tracks stock but leaves the books to be stitched together later from exports. Credit-book apps help salesmen record what each retailer owes, without purchases, stock or a double-entry ledger. A separate accounting package at head office keeps proper accounts, fed by re-keyed depot sales.
In Skyline Nexus ERP, switching on Auto-post Sales Transactions means each final sale at any depot posts a balanced journal for sales, output tax, cost of goods and inventory, and purchases, payments and expenses post the same way. The trial balance, P&L and balance sheet can then be filtered per depot or read consolidated across Uttar Pradesh. For GST return preparation, other providers are ahead today.
India tax integration
Uttar Pradesh has GST State code 09: every GSTIN registered in Uttar Pradesh starts with 09. Sales inside Uttar Pradesh carry CGST + SGST; sales to another State carry IGST. A branch in another State needs its own GSTIN and the right place of supply on each invoice: in Skyline Nexus ERP you choose the intra-State or inter-State tax group on the sale.
GST rates in force since 22 September 2025 (5%, 18%, 40%; 0.25%, 1.5% and 3% for stones and jewellery) and older rates for past periods; a cess as an extra component of a tax group.
Tax groups combining CGST + SGST (or UTGST) into one rate, plus IGST rates, set per product and chosen per sale.
Prices entered tax-inclusive or tax-exclusive per product; the POS works out the tax either way.
Your GSTIN as the business tax number and the customer's GSTIN on the contact record, both printed on invoices.
An HSN column on invoices from the product category code, an editable invoice heading (for example "Tax Invoice" or "Bill of Supply") and a receipt design that prints each tax component in its own column.
Credit notes for sales returns, debit notes for sales and purchases, and purchase returns.
With auto-posting on, every final sale, return, purchase and expense posts output or input tax to its own ledger account, matching the tax report.
Branches with their own invoice numbering and invoice layout; a branch's own GSTIN can be printed on its invoices from a location field.
Tax report: input tax on purchases, output tax on sales and tax on expenses for any period, branch or contact.
Trial balance, general ledger and day book with the input and output tax accounts, exported to Excel or PDF.
Audit Pack: one Excel workbook with trial balance, balance sheet, P&L, journals, sales, purchases and a ledger tax summary.
Sales and purchase lists your chartered accountant can use to prepare GST returns. Skyline Nexus ERP does not file returns itself.
Automatic CGST + SGST or IGST from the place of supply.
HSN and SAC codes per item with validation, and separate B2B, B2C and export invoice types.
GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B style summaries and input tax credit matching: ask us.
E-invoicing through the Invoice Registration Portal (IRN and signed QR): the India connector is built but not live. Ask us for your go-live date.
E-way bills and direct filing on the GST portal.
Reverse-charge marking for India, TDS and TCS.
Indian payroll items (PF, ESI, professional tax) are not offered: payroll in Skyline Nexus ERP is built for Saudi Arabia.

Every GSTIN registered in Uttar Pradesh begins with State code 09, and a business with places of business in other States needs a separate registration there. Supplies inside Uttar Pradesh carry CGST plus SGST at half the rate each, supplies to other States carry IGST. Registration is due above INR 20 lakh, or INR 40 lakh for goods-only suppliers except ice cream, pan masala and tobacco.
Skyline Nexus ERP stores GST rates as tax groups, such as CGST 9% + SGST 9% or IGST 18%, and you select the intra-State or inter-State group; HSN prints from the category code. Uttar Pradesh suppliers above INR 5 crore aggregate turnover must clear invoices through the IRP, which Skyline Nexus ERP does not support yet, and GSTR returns and e-way bills are not available yet.
Uttar Pradesh businesses reach Skyline Nexus ERP through the India waitlist on this page or a demo; the buttons read Join the waitlist, Book a demo and Ask on WhatsApp. There is no office in India, and support runs by WhatsApp, phone and e-mail. Multi-district firms usually pilot one depot or unit before rolling out to the rest of the State.
Prepare a product list and opening stock per location in CSV, contacts with GSTIN and opening balances, a chart of accounts and the full branch list. Settings take an April financial year, INR as currency, dd-mm-yyyy dates and amounts in words in lakh and crore.
State code 09 is the first two digits of every GSTIN registered in Uttar Pradesh, and it identifies the State for GST purposes. Skyline Nexus ERP stores the GSTIN on the business and each contact, so supplier and customer registration numbers stay visible on documents.
Yes. GST registration is State-wise, so an Uttar Pradesh company opening a depot in Delhi or Uttarakhand needs a registration in that State too. Skyline Nexus ERP can hold each depot as a business location with its own invoice series and branch-filtered statements, though the tax group per sale is chosen by the user.
Skyline Nexus ERP includes manufacturing work orders, bills of materials and routings with purchases and stock per location. An Uttar Pradesh brassware, glass or carpet exporter can plan orders and cost them. Exporters above INR 5 crore still need IRP reporting, which Skyline Nexus ERP does not do yet.
Skyline Nexus ERP keeps stock, invoice numbering and payment methods per depot, moves goods by transfer and limits users to their locations. A distributor across Uttar Pradesh can read the trial balance and P&L per depot or for the whole company. Stock transfers do not post to the ledger.
Many billing apps print GST bills and keep stock, while the accounts are rebuilt elsewhere. Skyline Nexus ERP posts each final sale, purchase, payment and expense to a double-entry ledger once auto-posting is on, so an Uttar Pradesh trader sees current statements. Some billing apps are ahead on GST return preparation, which Skyline Nexus does not offer yet.
Skyline Nexus ERP has an English interface and a Hindi interface translation is available, which helps staff in depots across Uttar Pradesh. The currency is INR, invoices can show amounts in words in lakh and crore, and dates use dd-mm-yyyy.
An Uttar Pradesh company joins the India waitlist on this page or books a demo, and can send questions on WhatsApp. Skyline Nexus ERP imports products, opening stock, contacts and the chart of accounts from CSV for a pilot depot.
Skyline Nexus ERP is a cloud service run by Skyline Industrial Solution. We have no office in Uttar Pradesh; support is by WhatsApp, phone and e-mail.
