Madhya Pradesh at a glance
Madhya Pradesh sits at the centre of India and much of its business follows the harvest. Soybean, wheat, gram and pulses from the Malwa plateau and the central districts pass through krishi upaj mandis to oil mills, dal mills and flour mills. Industry clusters around Pithampur near Indore, Mandideep near Bhopal, Malanpur near Gwalior and Dewas, with Jabalpur and Ujjain as regional trade centres.
Firms register for GST with the Commercial Tax Department of Madhya Pradesh and approach the Invest MP single window, run by the MP Industrial Development Corporation, for land and approvals. Tourism in places like Khajuraho, Ujjain and Pachmarhi, promoted by Madhya Pradesh Tourism, adds hotels and travel firms. Expanding companies end up with mills, depots and offices in several districts.
A soybean processor in Ujjain or a dal mill near Jabalpur buys heavily in a few post-harvest weeks, stores the crop, and processes it across the year. Each purchase from a trader or farmer producer group carries quality and weight details, and the owner needs to know stock in every godown and the true cost of each tonne of oil or dal sold.
Skyline Nexus ERP records purchases and goods receipts per godown, keeps stock per location and uses FIFO or LIFO costing so the cost of goods follows the actual lots consumed. Manufacturing work orders and bills of materials turn raw grain into finished packs, and supplier ageing shows what is still owed to each Madhya Pradesh trader.
Automotive components at Pithampur, pharma and engineering at Mandideep and consumer goods at Malanpur depend on suppliers across several States. A component maker may supply assemblers inside Madhya Pradesh and ship to Maharashtra and Gujarat, so tax treatment, costing and machine uptime all matter to margins.
Skyline Nexus ERP brings MES manufacturing with work orders, bills of materials and routings, along with purchases, stock per location, cost centres and budgets versus actuals. The CMMS module plans preventive maintenance and work orders for presses and lines in each Madhya Pradesh plant. Asset records sit alongside.
A Madhya Pradesh grain trader with godowns in three districts might use a billing app at each site: GST bills print and bag counts are kept, while the accounts are put together later by an accountant from exported files. Credit-book apps track advances to brokers and dues from mills, without stock, purchases or double-entry. A separate accounting package keeps correct books from re-keyed data.
With Skyline Nexus ERP, once Auto-post Sales Transactions is switched on, each final sale posts a balanced journal covering sales, output tax, cost of goods and inventory, and purchases, payments and expenses post the same way. Trial balance, P&L and balance sheet can be filtered by godown or read for the whole Madhya Pradesh business. On GST return preparation, other providers are ahead today.
India tax integration
Madhya Pradesh has GST State code 23: every GSTIN registered in Madhya Pradesh starts with 23. Sales inside Madhya Pradesh carry CGST + SGST; sales to another State carry IGST. A branch in another State needs its own GSTIN and the right place of supply on each invoice: in Skyline Nexus ERP you choose the intra-State or inter-State tax group on the sale.
GST rates in force since 22 September 2025 (5%, 18%, 40%; 0.25%, 1.5% and 3% for stones and jewellery) and older rates for past periods; a cess as an extra component of a tax group.
Tax groups combining CGST + SGST (or UTGST) into one rate, plus IGST rates, set per product and chosen per sale.
Prices entered tax-inclusive or tax-exclusive per product; the POS works out the tax either way.
Your GSTIN as the business tax number and the customer's GSTIN on the contact record, both printed on invoices.
An HSN column on invoices from the product category code, an editable invoice heading (for example "Tax Invoice" or "Bill of Supply") and a receipt design that prints each tax component in its own column.
Credit notes for sales returns, debit notes for sales and purchases, and purchase returns.
With auto-posting on, every final sale, return, purchase and expense posts output or input tax to its own ledger account, matching the tax report.
Branches with their own invoice numbering and invoice layout; a branch's own GSTIN can be printed on its invoices from a location field.
Tax report: input tax on purchases, output tax on sales and tax on expenses for any period, branch or contact.
Trial balance, general ledger and day book with the input and output tax accounts, exported to Excel or PDF.
Audit Pack: one Excel workbook with trial balance, balance sheet, P&L, journals, sales, purchases and a ledger tax summary.
Sales and purchase lists your chartered accountant can use to prepare GST returns. Skyline Nexus ERP does not file returns itself.
Automatic CGST + SGST or IGST from the place of supply.
HSN and SAC codes per item with validation, and separate B2B, B2C and export invoice types.
GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B style summaries and input tax credit matching: ask us.
E-invoicing through the Invoice Registration Portal (IRN and signed QR): the India connector is built but not live. Ask us for your go-live date.
E-way bills and direct filing on the GST portal.
Reverse-charge marking for India, TDS and TCS.
Indian payroll items (PF, ESI, professional tax) are not offered: payroll in Skyline Nexus ERP is built for Saudi Arabia.

The number 23 opens every GSTIN issued in Madhya Pradesh, so a buyer can tell at a glance where the supplier is registered. A sale from an Indore depot to a Bhopal shop is taxed as CGST and SGST, each at half the rate, while a consignment to Rajasthan attracts IGST. Turnover above INR 20 lakh triggers registration, or INR 40 lakh for goods-only suppliers other than ice cream, pan masala and tobacco.
Skyline Nexus ERP keeps GST rates as tax groups, such as CGST 9% + SGST 9% or IGST 18%, and you choose the intra-State or inter-State group yourself; HSN prints from the category code. Madhya Pradesh suppliers above INR 5 crore must obtain an IRN from the IRP for B2B invoices, which Skyline Nexus ERP does not support yet, and e-way bills are not generated.
Madhya Pradesh businesses reach Skyline Nexus ERP through the India waitlist on this page or a demo, via Join the waitlist, Book a demo or Ask on WhatsApp. Support is by WhatsApp, phone and e-mail, with no office in India. Agro firms often plan the switch before the next procurement season so the new stock starts clean.
Prepare items and opening stock per godown in CSV, contacts with GSTIN and opening balances, a chart of accounts and every mill, plant and depot as a branch. The financial year starts in April, amounts are in INR, dates use dd-mm-yyyy and amounts in words follow lakh and crore.
A Madhya Pradesh GSTIN starts with State code 23. Skyline Nexus ERP stores the GSTIN on the business and on each contact, so the numbers of suppliers, mills and buyers stay on documents and records for the accountant. The code also shows buyers where you are registered.
A Madhya Pradesh mill selling to a buyer in Gujarat makes an inter-State supply, so IGST at the full rate applies; inside the State it charges CGST plus SGST. Skyline Nexus ERP lets the user pick the IGST or CGST and SGST tax group on each sale; it does not switch automatically.
Skyline Nexus ERP covers purchases per godown, stock per location with FIFO or LIFO costing, and manufacturing work orders with bills of materials. A Madhya Pradesh soybean or dal processor can trace crop bought, processed and sold, with each final sale posting to the books once auto-posting is on.
Skyline Nexus ERP includes MES manufacturing, CMMS maintenance, asset records, cost centres and budgets. A Pithampur plant in Madhya Pradesh can plan work orders and maintenance in one system. Plants above INR 5 crore still need IRP e-invoicing, which Skyline Nexus ERP does not offer yet.
Many billing apps print bills and count stock while the books are rebuilt elsewhere. Skyline Nexus ERP posts every final sale, purchase and payment to a double-entry ledger once auto-posting is on, so a Madhya Pradesh trader sees current statements per godown. Some billing apps are ahead on GST return preparation, which Skyline Nexus does not do yet.
Skyline Nexus ERP has an English interface and a Hindi interface translation is available, which suits mill and depot staff in Madhya Pradesh. The currency is INR, dates use dd-mm-yyyy, and invoices can print the amount in words in lakh and crore.
A Madhya Pradesh business joins the India waitlist on this page or books a demo, and can ask questions on WhatsApp. Skyline Nexus ERP imports products, opening stock, contacts and the chart of accounts from CSV, so one mill or depot can be tested with real data first.
Skyline Nexus ERP is a cloud service run by Skyline Industrial Solution. We have no office in Madhya Pradesh; support is by WhatsApp, phone and e-mail.
