Chhattisgarh at a glance
Chhattisgarh is built on coal, iron and rice. Korba and Raigarh mine coal and generate power; Bailadila in Dantewada supplies iron ore; Bhilai makes steel; sponge iron, rolling and ferro-alloy plants spread around Raipur and Raigarh; and the plains are lined with rice mills. Raipur, Bilaspur and Durg serve as trading centres, and Nava Raipur Atal Nagar houses the State government.
On the State side, GST is administered by the Chhattisgarh Commercial Tax Department after registration on the national portal. Industrial plots and parks come through the Chhattisgarh State Industrial Development Corporation, and investment approvals run through the State single-window portal. Many groups here own a plant, a trading firm and a transport company, often in different districts.
A sponge iron or rolling mill buys iron ore, coal and dolomite in bulk, runs kilns or furnaces round the clock, and sells billets, bars or structurals to traders across several States. Raw material prices move week to week, and yields decide profit. Breakdowns of kilns and conveyors cost far more than the repair itself.
Skyline Nexus ERP covers this with manufacturing work orders, bills of materials and routings, FIFO or LIFO costing so the cost of output follows the ore and coal lots consumed, and CMMS with work orders and preventive schedules for kilns and conveyors. Cost centres split costs per furnace or line, and budgets against actuals help a Chhattisgarh plant compare plan with result.
Contractors around the Korba and Bailadila mines run transport fleets, earthmoving machines and site stores under multi-year contracts. Rice millers across the plains buy paddy in season, hold it for months, mill and sell rice and by-products such as bran and husk. Both carry large stock and large balances owed to and by them.
In Skyline Nexus ERP a contractor sets up each site as a location with its own store and each contract as a project with a budget, while asset management records the fleet. A Chhattisgarh rice miller can run paddy-to-rice conversion through bills of materials with by-products and track stock per godown, with receivable and payable ageing for traders and brokers.
Picture a Chhattisgarh rice mill near Dhamtari with a sales depot in Raipur. With typical billing apps the depot prints GST bills and counts bags, while the books are kept by an accountant and the trial balance is rebuilt at year end. Ledger-only apps record broker and buyer credit without any stock. A separate accounting package keeps sound books, but depot sales are typed in again.
With Auto-post Sales Transactions switched on, Skyline Nexus ERP posts every final sale as a balanced journal to sales, output tax, cost of goods and inventory soon after saving, so the miller's trial balance, profit and loss and balance sheet are current and can be read per location or for the whole business. Other providers are ahead today on e-way bills, which Skyline Nexus cannot generate yet.
India tax integration
Chhattisgarh has GST State code 22: every GSTIN registered in Chhattisgarh starts with 22. Sales inside Chhattisgarh carry CGST + SGST; sales to another State carry IGST. A branch in another State needs its own GSTIN and the right place of supply on each invoice: in Skyline Nexus ERP you choose the intra-State or inter-State tax group on the sale.
GST rates in force since 22 September 2025 (5%, 18%, 40%; 0.25%, 1.5% and 3% for stones and jewellery) and older rates for past periods; a cess as an extra component of a tax group.
Tax groups combining CGST + SGST (or UTGST) into one rate, plus IGST rates, set per product and chosen per sale.
Prices entered tax-inclusive or tax-exclusive per product; the POS works out the tax either way.
Your GSTIN as the business tax number and the customer's GSTIN on the contact record, both printed on invoices.
An HSN column on invoices from the product category code, an editable invoice heading (for example "Tax Invoice" or "Bill of Supply") and a receipt design that prints each tax component in its own column.
Credit notes for sales returns, debit notes for sales and purchases, and purchase returns.
With auto-posting on, every final sale, return, purchase and expense posts output or input tax to its own ledger account, matching the tax report.
Branches with their own invoice numbering and invoice layout; a branch's own GSTIN can be printed on its invoices from a location field.
Tax report: input tax on purchases, output tax on sales and tax on expenses for any period, branch or contact.
Trial balance, general ledger and day book with the input and output tax accounts, exported to Excel or PDF.
Audit Pack: one Excel workbook with trial balance, balance sheet, P&L, journals, sales, purchases and a ledger tax summary.
Sales and purchase lists your chartered accountant can use to prepare GST returns. Skyline Nexus ERP does not file returns itself.
Automatic CGST + SGST or IGST from the place of supply.
HSN and SAC codes per item with validation, and separate B2B, B2C and export invoice types.
GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B style summaries and input tax credit matching: ask us.
E-invoicing through the Invoice Registration Portal (IRN and signed QR): the India connector is built but not live. Ask us for your go-live date.
E-way bills and direct filing on the GST portal.
Reverse-charge marking for India, TDS and TCS.
Indian payroll items (PF, ESI, professional tax) are not offered: payroll in Skyline Nexus ERP is built for Saudi Arabia.

Every GSTIN in Chhattisgarh begins with State code 22. A sale within the State carries CGST plus SGST at half the rate each, and a sale to Odisha, Maharashtra or Madhya Pradesh carries IGST at the full rate. Registration is due above INR 20 lakh aggregate turnover; goods-only suppliers may use the INR 40 lakh threshold, except for ice cream, pan masala and tobacco.
Suppliers above INR 5 crore aggregate turnover must report B2B invoices to the IRP for an IRN, which Skyline Nexus ERP does not do yet, and steel or coal loads need e-way bills it cannot raise yet. Today Skyline Nexus lets you set tax groups such as CGST 9% + SGST 9% or IGST 18%, choose one per sale, and print HSN from the category code.
India onboarding is through the waitlist form on this page, a demo, and questions on WhatsApp. A Chhattisgarh group with a plant, depots and sites should list each one as a branch, prepare products and opening stock per branch for CSV import, collect contacts with GSTIN and opening balances, and settle its chart of accounts with the auditor.
Skyline Nexus ERP is set up with an April financial year, INR, dd-mm-yyyy dates and amounts in words in lakh and crore. Support comes by WhatsApp, phone and e-mail. There is no office in India, so plant and depot staff are trained online, usually one location at a time.
Chhattisgarh uses GST State code 22, so every GSTIN registered there starts with 22. Supplies within Chhattisgarh carry CGST and SGST, and supplies to other States carry IGST. In Skyline Nexus ERP you create both tax groups and choose the correct one on each sale.
Yes, generally. A supplier of goods only in Chhattisgarh may use the INR 40 lakh registration threshold, except suppliers of ice cream, pan masala and tobacco. Service and mixed suppliers register above INR 20 lakh. Skyline Nexus ERP stores the business GSTIN and contact GSTINs.
Skyline Nexus ERP includes work orders, bills of materials, routings, FIFO or LIFO costing and CMMS maintenance. A sponge iron or rolling plant in Chhattisgarh can cost output from the ore and coal lots consumed and schedule kiln maintenance. Weighbridge integration is not claimed.
A Chhattisgarh rice mill can model paddy-to-rice conversion with bills of materials, keep stock per godown, and follow broker and buyer balances by age in Skyline Nexus ERP. Government procurement and custom-milling settlement formats are not built in, so review them in a demo.
Many billing apps print GST bills and count stock, and the books are finished later. Skyline Nexus ERP posts each final sale to the ledger once auto-posting is on, so a Chhattisgarh trader sees a current trial balance and balance sheet per branch. Billing apps may be ahead on IRN generation, which Skyline Nexus does not offer yet.
Skyline Nexus ERP has an English interface and a Hindi interface translation, which suits many teams in Chhattisgarh. INR is available as the business currency, dates can be dd-mm-yyyy, and invoices can show amounts in words in lakh and crore.
The first step for a Chhattisgarh company is the India waitlist form or a booked demo. Next comes a CSV import of products, plant and depot stock, contacts with GSTIN, and the chart of accounts into Skyline Nexus ERP, with April as the first month of the financial year. WhatsApp, phone and e-mail are the support channels.
