Telangana at a glance
Telangana's economy centres on Hyderabad, but much trade and manufacturing sits in the districts: Warangal and Khammam for cotton and chillies, Nizamabad for turmeric, Karimnagar for granite and agri-processing, and the Godavari coal belt around Kothagudem and Ramagundam. Many owners run a head office in the capital and depots in two or three district towns.
A Telangana business registers for GST on the national portal, with State-side administration by the Commercial Taxes Department. Shops in the capital take trade licences from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, and units in industrial parks deal with the State's industrial infrastructure corporation. The harder part is keeping stock, sales and accounts consistent across towns.
Bulk drug and formulation units around Genome Valley, Patancheru, Pashamylaram and Jeedimetla, and engineering and food units in district industrial areas, buy raw material in lots, convert it and dispatch to other States. When an ingredient is bought at different prices through the year, cost of goods sold has to follow the lot actually consumed.
Skyline Nexus ERP covers this with manufacturing work orders, bills of materials and routings, FIFO or LIFO costing that drives cost of goods sold, and purchases that post to the ledger once auto-posting is on. Cost centres and budget-versus-actual reports let a Telangana plant owner compare a line against plan, and CMMS schedules maintenance on reactors and packing lines.
Commission agents, ginners, cold-storage operators and input dealers around Warangal's Enumamula market yard, Khammam and Nizamabad live with seasonal peaks: heavy arrivals, credit to farmers and buyers, and stock spread over several godowns. Many keep the sale bill in one app and party balances in a notebook, so the season-end reconciliation becomes a long job.
In Skyline Nexus ERP each godown or yard office can be a location with its own stock and invoice numbering, and stock transfers move goods between them; transfers do not post to the ledger, but location-wise stock reports show them. Contacts carry GSTIN and opening balance, ageing shows who owes what, and CRM follow-ups help a Telangana trader line up buyers.
Picture a Telangana distributor with a warehouse in the capital and counters in Warangal and Karimnagar. Typical billing apps print GST bills and keep stock counts, but the books often live in an accountant's package, so the trial balance is rebuilt at year end. Credit-book apps record udhaar without stock, and separate accounting packages need counter sales re-keyed.
In Skyline Nexus ERP, once an administrator switches on Auto-post Sales Transactions, every final POS sale posts a balanced journal for sales, output tax, cost of goods and inventory right after saving, so trial balance, profit and loss and balance sheet stay current and filter by branch. Purchases, payments and expenses post the same way. Some tools are ahead today on GST returns, which Skyline Nexus lacks.
India tax integration
Telangana has GST State code 36: every GSTIN registered in Telangana starts with 36. Sales inside Telangana carry CGST + SGST; sales to another State carry IGST. A branch in another State needs its own GSTIN and the right place of supply on each invoice: in Skyline Nexus ERP you choose the intra-State or inter-State tax group on the sale.
GST rates in force since 22 September 2025 (5%, 18%, 40%; 0.25%, 1.5% and 3% for stones and jewellery) and older rates for past periods; a cess as an extra component of a tax group.
Tax groups combining CGST + SGST (or UTGST) into one rate, plus IGST rates, set per product and chosen per sale.
Prices entered tax-inclusive or tax-exclusive per product; the POS works out the tax either way.
Your GSTIN as the business tax number and the customer's GSTIN on the contact record, both printed on invoices.
An HSN column on invoices from the product category code, an editable invoice heading (for example "Tax Invoice" or "Bill of Supply") and a receipt design that prints each tax component in its own column.
Credit notes for sales returns, debit notes for sales and purchases, and purchase returns.
With auto-posting on, every final sale, return, purchase and expense posts output or input tax to its own ledger account, matching the tax report.
Branches with their own invoice numbering and invoice layout; a branch's own GSTIN can be printed on its invoices from a location field.
Tax report: input tax on purchases, output tax on sales and tax on expenses for any period, branch or contact.
Trial balance, general ledger and day book with the input and output tax accounts, exported to Excel or PDF.
Audit Pack: one Excel workbook with trial balance, balance sheet, P&L, journals, sales, purchases and a ledger tax summary.
Sales and purchase lists your chartered accountant can use to prepare GST returns. Skyline Nexus ERP does not file returns itself.
Automatic CGST + SGST or IGST from the place of supply.
HSN and SAC codes per item with validation, and separate B2B, B2C and export invoice types.
GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B style summaries and input tax credit matching: ask us.
E-invoicing through the Invoice Registration Portal (IRN and signed QR): the India connector is built but not live. Ask us for your go-live date.
E-way bills and direct filing on the GST portal.
Reverse-charge marking for India, TDS and TCS.
Indian payroll items (PF, ESI, professional tax) are not offered: payroll in Skyline Nexus ERP is built for Saudi Arabia.

Every GSTIN issued in Telangana starts with State code 36. Sales inside Telangana carry CGST plus SGST at half the rate each, and sales to other States carry IGST. Registration is due above INR 20 lakh aggregate turnover; the INR 40 lakh goods-only threshold does not apply in Telangana, so goods traders use INR 20 lakh too.
Suppliers above INR 5 crore aggregate turnover must report B2B invoices to the IRP for an IRN, which Skyline Nexus ERP does not do yet. Today you set up tax groups such as CGST 9% + SGST 9% or IGST 18%, choose the group yourself, and can print an HSN column from the category code. E-way bills and GSTR returns are not available yet.
India onboarding is by waitlist and demo: use Join the waitlist, Book a demo, or Ask on WhatsApp. A Telangana business spread over several towns should prepare products and opening stock per location for CSV import, contacts with GSTIN and opening balances, its chart of accounts, and the branches with the invoice series each should use.
Skyline Nexus ERP is configured with an April financial year, INR as the business currency, dd-mm-yyyy dates and invoice amounts in words in lakh and crore. Support is by WhatsApp, phone and e-mail; there is no office in India, so the demo and set-up calls take place online.
Every GSTIN registered in Telangana begins with State code 36. A Telangana seller charges CGST plus SGST on sales inside the State and IGST on sales to other States. In Skyline Nexus ERP you create both tax groups and choose one on each sale, because Skyline Nexus does not yet pick the group from the place of supply.
No. The higher INR 40 lakh registration threshold for suppliers of goods only does not apply in Telangana, so goods suppliers there register for GST above INR 20 lakh aggregate turnover, the general limit. Some suppliers must register regardless of turnover. Skyline Nexus ERP stores the business GSTIN and the GSTIN of each customer and supplier contact.
Skyline Nexus ERP includes work orders, bills of materials and routings, FIFO or LIFO costing, purchases and a double-entry ledger. A Telangana formulation or bulk-drug unit can follow raw material lots and see cost of goods sold from the lots consumed. Pharma-specific regulatory records should be checked in a demo.
A trader with yards in Warangal, Khammam or Nizamabad can set each up as a location in Skyline Nexus ERP, with its own stock and invoice numbering, and move goods by stock transfer. Ageing reports show outstanding parties. Mandi commission accounting is not a dedicated module, so a Telangana trader should ask for a demo first.
Many billing apps print GST bills and keep stock counts while the books are kept elsewhere. Skyline Nexus ERP posts each final POS sale to the ledger once auto-posting is on, so profit and loss and the balance sheet for a Telangana shop are current by branch. Billing apps may be ahead on IRN and GSTR features, which Skyline Nexus does not have yet.
Skyline Nexus ERP has an English interface and a Hindi interface translation, among other languages. INR is available as the business currency, dates can be shown as dd-mm-yyyy, and invoice amounts in words follow the Indian lakh and crore system. Telangana teams who prefer another Indian language should ask in the demo which translations are available.
India onboarding runs through the waitlist on this page and a demo. A Telangana company prepares products and opening stock, contacts with GSTIN and balances, its chart of accounts and branch list, and imports them by CSV into Skyline Nexus ERP with an April financial year. Support is by WhatsApp, phone and e-mail.
Skyline Nexus ERP is a cloud service run by Skyline Industrial Solution. We have no office in Telangana; support is by WhatsApp, phone and e-mail.
