Graz, Austria
Skyline Nexus ERP gives Graz automotive suppliers, engineering firms, research spin-offs and medtech companies one ledger for production, projects, assets and invoicing.
Invoices meet § 11 UStG, intra-EU deliveries to neighbouring markets carry the right details, and the books stay in euros.
Plans from €17 per month, plus VAT where it applies · Prices for Austria, in EUR.
Graz at a glance
Graz, the capital of Styria, had around 308,000 inhabitants at the start of 2026 according to the city's statistics office, and the Wirtschaftskammer Steiermark counted about 25,600 member businesses in Graz-Stadt at the end of 2025. Vehicle production in Graz-Thondorf, engineering and test centres, several universities and a growing medtech scene give the city an unusually technical economy for its size.
Most businesses are entered in the Firmenbuch or registered with the Magistrat Graz through the Unternehmensserviceportal, and they file through FinanzOnline. Many sell across the border to Slovenia, Italy and Germany, so intra-EU invoices and UID checks are routine. Skyline Nexus ERP keeps those invoices, the stock behind them and the general ledger in one system for a Graz company.
Suppliers to vehicle production in Graz-Thondorf and the industrial firms of the Puntigam area deliver parts in fixed sequences against customer schedules. The MES module of Skyline Nexus ERP keeps their bills of materials, routings and work centres, plans production as work orders, and ships through delivery notes, while stock is valued by FIFO, the IFRS-compatible method, per plant or warehouse.
Engineering and testing companies sell development work rather than parts, and their expensive assets are test benches and measuring equipment. In Skyline Nexus each development contract runs as a project with milestones and a budget, and each test bench sits in the asset register with depreciation and a PPM schedule that can be based on operating hours, so maintenance cost is known per contract.
With several universities, research institutes and a science park, Graz produces a steady flow of spin-offs whose first accounting problem is funding: every research grant and industry project has its own budget and reporting. Skyline Nexus ERP sets up each one as a project with its own budget and cost centre, so personnel, equipment and travel costs are reported per grant rather than pooled.
As teams grow, space and equipment need managing too. The facility module of Skyline Nexus records buildings, floors, spaces and allocations, with move requests when a group changes labs, and lab equipment goes into the asset register with warranty and maintenance records. Purchase orders for consumables and instruments are raised and tracked in the same system as the grant budgets.
Medtech firms in Graz, many of them linked to the medical university and the university hospital, make devices, consumables and diagnostic products in small batches. Skyline Nexus ERP plans their production with bills of materials and work orders and keeps stock by lot, so the Lot Report and Stock Expiry Report show what is held in each batch and which material is approaching its expiry date.
Service companies that maintain medical and laboratory equipment for clinics use the CMMS in Skyline Nexus: requests from the customer site, work orders with technician, parts and downtime, PPM schedules and warranty claims against manufacturers. Regulatory quality files and clinical records stay in specialised systems; Skyline Nexus keeps the commercial, stock and maintenance records together with the ledger.
Compliance
Austria: invoices must meet § 11 UStG (simplified invoices up to EUR 400; customer UID above EUR 10,000). Nexus covers standard invoices and the optional payment QR, but not RKSV cash-register signing or Austrian e-invoicing (ebInterface).
Invoice content per § 11 UStG: seller and customer name/address, quantity and description, date of supply, net amount, VAT rate and VAT amount, issue date, sequential number, your UID number (ATU + 8 digits).
Invoices up to EUR 400 gross (Kleinbetragsrechnung) need less: seller, items, date of supply, gross amount and VAT rate.
Above EUR 10,000 gross, B2B invoices must also show the customer's UID number.
Kleinunternehmer (turnover up to EUR 55,000, since 2025): show no VAT and add the exemption note.
Reverse charge and intra-EU supplies: no VAT, the customer's UID and the legal note on the invoice; issue by the 15th of the following month.
E-invoices to federal bodies go through e-Rechnung.gv.at (ebInterface or Peppol UBL) – Nexus does not send them yet. No B2B e-invoicing mandate.
Cash and card sales above EUR 15,000 turnover / EUR 7,500 cash need an RKSV Registrierkasse with a signed QR on every receipt – Nexus POS does not provide this; use an RKSV-compliant cash register.
Keep invoices and records for 7 years (§ 132 BAO). The payment QR code (Zahlen mit Code) is optional.

As of October 2026, a Graz invoice follows § 11 UStG, with VAT normally at 20%, 13% or 10% and the seller's UID number shown. Small invoices up to EUR 400 gross need fewer details, and above EUR 10,000 gross a B2B invoice must include the customer's UID. Deliveries to Slovenia or Italy carry no Austrian VAT, show the customer's UID and the legal note, and are invoiced by the 15th of the following month.
Records are kept for 7 years under § 132 BAO. Electronic invoicing between businesses is voluntary and needs the recipient's agreement, so PDF invoices are valid. Invoices to federal bodies go through e-Rechnung.gv.at, which Skyline Nexus ERP does not yet reach. Cash sales above the legal thresholds need an RKSV register, which Skyline Nexus does not provide; an optional payment QR code is available.
A Graz company moving to Skyline Nexus ERP usually imports products, components and opening stock first, then customers and suppliers with UID numbers and open balances, then its chart of accounts. GL opening balances go onto a screen that only saves when debits equal credits, and research firms set up their current grants as projects with the remaining budgets.
The free trial gives enough room to run one production order, one research project or one maintenance contract with real data. Support is by WhatsApp, phone and e-mail in English; Skyline Nexus ERP has no office in Graz. Manufacturers with several plants, or institutes managing many grants, should book a demo so locations, projects and cost centres are designed before migration.
Yes. Skyline Nexus ERP gives an automotive supplier in Graz-Thondorf bills of materials, routings, work centres and production work orders in its MES module, delivery notes for shipments to the customer, and FIFO stock valuation per plant. Machines sit in the asset register, and the CMMS handles breakdowns and planned maintenance in the same ledger.
Skyline Nexus ERP suits a Graz spin-off that needs to report spending per grant or industry project. Each grant runs as a project with its own budget and cost centre, purchase orders are tracked against it, and equipment is held in the asset register. Lab space can be managed in the facility module as the team grows.
Yes. Skyline Nexus ERP keeps stock by lot and offers a Lot Report and a Stock Expiry Report, so a Graz medtech company sees what each batch holds and which material is close to expiry. Production runs on bills of materials and work orders. Regulatory quality documentation remains in the company's specialised quality system.
A Graz company invoicing a business customer in Slovenia charges no Austrian VAT on an intra-EU delivery, shows both UID numbers and the legal note, and issues the invoice by the 15th of the following month. In Skyline Nexus ERP the customer's UID is stored on the contact, and a separate invoice layout carries the required note.
No. As of October 2026 Austria has no B2B e-invoicing mandate; electronic invoices need the recipient's consent, and PDF or paper invoices remain valid. Federal bodies require e-invoices through e-Rechnung.gv.at, which Skyline Nexus ERP does not yet reach, so a Graz supplier to federal bodies needs another route for those invoices.
Skyline Nexus ERP is available in English and Arabic, with interface translations for many other languages, including German, Italian and Turkish; untranslated screens fall back to English. A Graz company keeps its books in euros and can invoice customers in Swiss francs or US dollars at a rate entered on the document.
The quickest way to try Skyline Nexus ERP is to import a small product list with opening stock and a handful of customers during the free trial, then run one order or project from start to invoice and check the trial balance. A Graz team learns more from one complete cycle than from a week of clicking through menus.
