Arunachal Pradesh at a glance
Business in Arunachal Pradesh clusters in a few towns separated by long hill roads. Itanagar and Naharlagun hold the capital's offices, shops and wholesalers, Pasighat and Namsai trade with the plains of Assam, while Tawang, Bomdila and Ziro live from visitors and farm produce. A firm with outlets in two valleys may see its branch managers only a few times a year.
Owners register for GST with the State tax department and, inside the capital, take trade licences from the Itanagar Municipal Corporation. Units seeking land, incentives or loans deal with the Department of Industries and the Arunachal Pradesh Industrial Development and Financial Corporation. Skyline Nexus ERP lets each town's outlet run as its own location while the owner reads one set of accounts.
Visitors to Tawang, Ziro and Mechuka need an Inner Line Permit or Protected Area Permit, and many book through local tour operators who bundle rooms, vehicles and guides. Homestays and hotels in Arunachal Pradesh run a restaurant beside the rooms, buy supplies in bulk before the roads close, and depend heavily on the dry-season months.
Skyline Nexus ERP covers the restaurant side with the POS, kitchen features and stock per outlet, while purchases of provisions and fuel post to the ledger once auto-posting is enabled. Tour operators can treat each group trip as a project with a budget, then compare actual vehicle and lodging costs. Cost centres show which property or season pays.
Horticulture gives Arunachal Pradesh much of its trade: kiwi from the Ziro valley, oranges from several districts, large cardamom from the higher slopes and tea in the foothills around Namsai and Lohit. Aggregators buy from many small growers, grade and pack the produce, then sell to buyers in Guwahati and further away.
An aggregator in Arunachal Pradesh can record grower purchases, packing material and freight in Skyline Nexus ERP, hold graded stock per collection centre, and see the cost of goods per lot with FIFO costing. Manufacturing work orders and bills of materials suit simple processing such as juice or dried products, and the CRM tracks buyers and follow-ups.
Consider a Naharlagun dealer selling cement, steel and hardware to contractors on government works. Typical billing apps print GST bills and count stock, though the ledger is often kept by an accountant elsewhere and the trial balance is pieced together at year end. Ledger-only apps track contractor dues but not stock or purchases. Separate accounting packages keep sound books, yet sales are re-entered.
In Skyline Nexus ERP, after Auto-post Sales Transactions is switched on, each final sale in Arunachal Pradesh posts a balanced journal for sales, output tax, cost of goods and inventory, and supplier bills and payments post likewise. Receivables ageing shows which contractor owes what, and statements filter by branch. Other tools are ahead today on GST returns and e-way bills, which Skyline Nexus does not handle yet.
India tax integration
Arunachal Pradesh has GST State code 12: every GSTIN registered in Arunachal Pradesh starts with 12. Sales inside Arunachal Pradesh carry CGST + SGST; sales to another State carry IGST. A branch in another State needs its own GSTIN and the right place of supply on each invoice: in Skyline Nexus ERP you choose the intra-State or inter-State tax group on the sale.
GST rates in force since 22 September 2025 (5%, 18%, 40%; 0.25%, 1.5% and 3% for stones and jewellery) and older rates for past periods; a cess as an extra component of a tax group.
Tax groups combining CGST + SGST (or UTGST) into one rate, plus IGST rates, set per product and chosen per sale.
Prices entered tax-inclusive or tax-exclusive per product; the POS works out the tax either way.
Your GSTIN as the business tax number and the customer's GSTIN on the contact record, both printed on invoices.
An HSN column on invoices from the product category code, an editable invoice heading (for example "Tax Invoice" or "Bill of Supply") and a receipt design that prints each tax component in its own column.
Credit notes for sales returns, debit notes for sales and purchases, and purchase returns.
With auto-posting on, every final sale, return, purchase and expense posts output or input tax to its own ledger account, matching the tax report.
Branches with their own invoice numbering and invoice layout; a branch's own GSTIN can be printed on its invoices from a location field.
Tax report: input tax on purchases, output tax on sales and tax on expenses for any period, branch or contact.
Trial balance, general ledger and day book with the input and output tax accounts, exported to Excel or PDF.
Audit Pack: one Excel workbook with trial balance, balance sheet, P&L, journals, sales, purchases and a ledger tax summary.
Sales and purchase lists your chartered accountant can use to prepare GST returns. Skyline Nexus ERP does not file returns itself.
Automatic CGST + SGST or IGST from the place of supply.
HSN and SAC codes per item with validation, and separate B2B, B2C and export invoice types.
GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B style summaries and input tax credit matching: ask us.
E-invoicing through the Invoice Registration Portal (IRN and signed QR): the India connector is built but not live. Ask us for your go-live date.
E-way bills and direct filing on the GST portal.
Reverse-charge marking for India, TDS and TCS.
Indian payroll items (PF, ESI, professional tax) are not offered: payroll in Skyline Nexus ERP is built for Saudi Arabia.

State code 12 opens every GSTIN issued in Arunachal Pradesh. Within the State a sale is taxed as CGST plus SGST at half the rate each; goods sent to Assam or any other State carry IGST at the full rate. Registration falls due above INR 20 lakh aggregate turnover, and the INR 40 lakh goods-only threshold does not apply here, so goods suppliers use the general limit.
Skyline Nexus ERP lets you build tax groups such as CGST 9% + SGST 9% or IGST 18% and choose the intra-State or inter-State group on each sale; an HSN column prints from the category code. Firms above INR 5 crore turnover must obtain an IRN for B2B invoices, a step Skyline Nexus ERP does not perform yet, and GSTR returns are not prepared either.
India onboarding is through the waitlist on this page and a demo; use Join the waitlist, Book a demo or Ask on WhatsApp. Before that, a business in Arunachal Pradesh should collect its product list and opening stock per outlet as CSV, customers and suppliers with GSTIN and opening balances, its chart of accounts and its branches.
Skyline Nexus ERP is configured with an April financial year, INR, dd-mm-yyyy dates and amounts in words in lakh and crore. It is a cloud service, so each outlet needs a working internet connection. Support is by WhatsApp, phone and e-mail, and there is no office in India.
Arunachal Pradesh GSTINs begin with State code 12. Skyline Nexus ERP keeps the GSTIN on each contact, helping staff choose CGST plus SGST for a buyer inside Arunachal Pradesh or IGST for one in another State. The tax group is picked by the user.
No. The INR 40 lakh threshold for suppliers of goods only does not apply in Arunachal Pradesh, so goods suppliers register above the general INR 20 lakh aggregate turnover. Some suppliers must register whatever their turnover. Skyline Nexus ERP works before and after registration.
A homestay or hotel in Tawang can use the Skyline Nexus ERP POS for its restaurant, hold provisions as stock and post purchases to the ledger once auto-posting is on. Skyline Nexus ERP is cloud-based and does not bill offline, so a stable connection is needed in Arunachal Pradesh.
Yes. A kiwi aggregator in Ziro, Arunachal Pradesh, can enter grower purchases, packing and freight in Skyline Nexus ERP, keep graded stock per collection centre and see cost per lot with FIFO costing. The CRM tracks buyers in Guwahati and elsewhere.
No, Skyline Nexus ERP does not generate e-way bills yet, so an Itanagar dealer moving goods above the legal limit still uses the government portal. IRN e-invoicing and GSTR returns are also not available yet; India onboarding is by waitlist.
Many billing apps print GST bills and track stock while the books are finished elsewhere. Skyline Nexus ERP posts each final sale of an Arunachal Pradesh shop to a balanced journal once auto-posting is enabled, keeping the trial balance and balance sheet current. Billing apps may be ahead on GST filing.
Skyline Nexus ERP has an English interface and a Hindi interface translation, which suits mixed teams in Arunachal Pradesh. Accounts are kept in INR, dates can show as dd-mm-yyyy, and invoices can print the amount in words in lakh and crore.
Skyline Nexus ERP is a cloud service run by Skyline Industrial Solution. We have no office in Arunachal Pradesh; support is by WhatsApp, phone and e-mail.
