Madinah at a glance
Madinah, a city of about 1.4 million people (GASTAT 2022 census), receives visitors throughout the year who often stay several days near the Prophet's Mosque. Hotels and shops crowd the central area, Qurban holds housing and workshops, and Knowledge Economic City is growing as an office and education district. Date farms and packing houses on the edges of the city add an agricultural trade of their own.
Firms register via the Saudi Business Center, join the Madinah Chamber and are licensed by Madinah Municipality. Visitors arrive through Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz International Airport and the Haramain railway, so demand follows flight and train schedules as much as the calendar. Skyline Nexus ERP helps a Madinah business plan for that flow with stock per location, branch sales and a ledger that closes month by month.
Hotels near the Prophet's Mosque compete on location, cleanliness and reliability, and a broken lift or chiller during Ramadan costs more in reputation than in repair. Where a building is leased from its owner and run by a hotel operator, there are effectively two sets of books: the lease and service charges on one side, rooms and food revenue on the other.
Skyline Nexus ERP lets a Madinah operator schedule preventive maintenance and log repairs as CMMS work orders, track equipment warranties, and record the building lease in BMS so rent and service charges sit next to operating revenue. Restaurants and coffee outlets inside the hotel run on POS, and their simplified invoices are reported to ZATCA within 24 hours.
Dates, prayer goods, perfume and clothing sell in the streets around the central area and in Al Noor Mall, next to restaurants that serve visitor groups at fixed times. Retailers often buy dates directly from local farms and packing houses, grade them and sell them by weight, so stock has to be tracked in kilograms as well as in cartons.
Skyline Nexus ERP supports weight-scale integration at the counter, holds stock per shop and warehouse with FIFO costing, and gives each branch its own POS register and invoice numbering. Purchases from Madinah farms are recorded against the supplier with their due dates, and the Stock Expiry Report helps move perishable lines before they spoil.
Taibah University, the Islamic University of Madinah and a range of private institutes and training centres bring students, staff and contractors to the city. Around them sit catering firms, student-housing landlords, transport providers and maintenance contractors, each tied to term dates and annual service contracts that renew on fixed cycles.
For campus service providers, Skyline Nexus ERP's FMS module records buildings, floors and spaces with allocations and move requests, while CMMS handles maintenance requests and PPM across halls and labs. Student-housing landlords manage units and leases in BMS, and the HCM module runs payroll with GOSI for the academic and support staff of private Madinah institutes.

Hotels and restaurants serving visitors in Madinah issue simplified tax invoices with a ZATCA QR code and report them within 24 hours under Phase 2. Invoices to tour operators, universities or other companies are standard tax invoices that must be cleared before they count. VAT is 15%, and the VAT number on every invoice has 15 digits, starting and ending with 3.
As of October 2026, ZATCA has set 1 February 2027 as the Wave 25 integration date for businesses with VAT revenue above SAR 187,500. Skyline Nexus ERP onboards with compliance and production CSIDs, signs and transmits invoices, and freezes them once filed. Invoice details must appear in Arabic, and Madinah businesses keep their records for at least 6 years.
Migration follows a simple order: products and selling prices, opening stock per shop and warehouse, suppliers and customers with balances owed, then the chart of accounts. Skyline Nexus ERP provides a spreadsheet template for each import and checks that GL opening balances are equal on both sides before saving them, so a Madinah shop starts from a clean position.
Use the free trial to sell, receive stock and close a register as you would in a normal week. Support is by WhatsApp, phone and e-mail in English; there is no office in the city. Hotel operators with several properties, date packers with production steps and education providers with large campuses should book a demo first.
Skyline Nexus ERP suits a Madinah hotel operator that wants maintenance, outlet sales, leases and accounting in one place. CMMS plans preventive maintenance and work orders, BMS records the building lease, POS runs the restaurants, and simplified invoices are reported to ZATCA. Room reservations stay in the hotel's own booking software.
Yes. Skyline Nexus ERP supports weight-scale integration at the point of sale, so a Madinah date shop can sell loose dates by weight and packed boxes by the unit from the same till. Stock is held per shop with FIFO costing, and the Stock Expiry Report flags lines that need to move first.
A private institute in Madinah can run payroll in the HCM module of Skyline Nexus ERP, with salary structures, GOSI contributions, end-of-service reports and WPS files for Mudad. Approved payroll posts salary expense and GOSI payable to the ledger when auto-posting is on, and leave and attendance sit in the same module.
Yes. A Madinah restaurant in Phase 2 issues a simplified tax invoice with a QR code to each walk-in customer and reports it to ZATCA within 24 hours. Skyline Nexus ERP does the reporting from the POS. The restaurant's integration date depends on its VAT revenue and the wave ZATCA assigns.
A business with VAT revenue above SAR 187,500 in any year from 2022 to 2025 falls into ZATCA Wave 25, which must integrate with Fatoora by 1 February 2027 as of October 2026. A Madinah business in that band can complete CSID onboarding in Skyline Nexus ERP and test invoices before the deadline.
Skyline Nexus ERP stores an English and an Arabic name for every account and account type, and shows the Arabic name when the user's interface language is Arabic. A Madinah bookkeeper can therefore work fully in Arabic while a manager or auditor reads the same ledger in English.
In the Skyline Nexus ERP free trial a shop can import its products and opening stock, sell through the POS, receive a supplier delivery, close a cash register and look at the trial balance. Prices are printed on this page, and multi-site businesses can book a demo instead of a self-service trial.
