West Bengal, India
From jute mills on the Hooghly to tea packers in the north, West Bengal firms often run a plant, depots and offices in different towns, and Skyline Nexus ERP keeps them in one ledger.
Each final sale and purchase posts its own journal once auto-posting is on, so a West Bengal owner can read branch statements without waiting for year-end entries.
Plans from $19 per month, plus VAT where it applies · Prices shown in USD; we do not publish a price list for India yet.

West Bengal at a glance
West Bengal's economy follows its corridors. Kolkata and Howrah hold trade, finance and light engineering; the Durgapur-Asansol belt makes steel, castings and engineering goods; Haldia handles petrochemicals and port cargo; Kharagpur adds industry around its railway hub; and Siliguri, far to the north, distributes to the hills, Sikkim and the North-East.
A firm in West Bengal registers for GST under State code 19 and, for investment and industrial land, deals with the West Bengal Industrial Development Corporation. Many smaller units record Udyam registration as MSMEs. Jute businesses answer to the Jute Commissioner and tea businesses to the Tea Board, both headquartered in Kolkata, which shapes how these sectors keep records.
A Howrah foundry, a Durgapur fabrication shop and a jute-goods maker near the Hooghly share a problem: raw material, work in progress and finished stock sit in different places, and costs are rarely known per order. Skyline Nexus ERP covers manufacturing with work orders, bills of materials and routings, alongside purchases and stock in the same system.
Material issued to production is valued by FIFO or LIFO, so cost of goods sold reflects real purchase lots. Skyline Nexus also includes CMMS maintenance and asset management for machines, and cost centres split a West Bengal plant into departments. Budgets against actuals show whether a production line stays within plan.
Agriculture in West Bengal is commercial at both ends of the State: tea gardens in Darjeeling, the Terai and the Dooars, and raw jute and rice from the Gangetic plains. Between grower and buyer sit packers, millers, warehouses and input suppliers who buy in season and sell all year.
Skyline Nexus ERP records seasonal purchases, stock per warehouse and sales on credit in one ledger, and cost centres can separate a packing unit from trading. A tea packer can use bills of materials for blends and pack sizes. Branch-wise profit and loss shows whether a Siliguri depot or a Kolkata office carries the margin.
Consider a Howrah engineering supplier with a showroom and a works unit. On a typical billing app, GST bills and stock counts are handled, yet the books are often kept by an accountant in another package or a spreadsheet, so the trial balance is rebuilt at month or year end. Credit-book apps record dues but not stock, purchases or a double-entry ledger.
Separate accounting packages give strong books, but counter and dispatch data are exported or re-keyed. In Skyline Nexus ERP, once Auto-post Sales Transactions is switched on, every final sale posts sales, output tax, cost of goods and inventory in a balanced journal; purchases, payments and expenses post too. The West Bengal firm's P&L and balance sheet stay current per branch, next to stock and manufacturing.
India tax integration
West Bengal has GST State code 19: every GSTIN registered in West Bengal starts with 19. Sales inside West Bengal carry CGST + SGST; sales to another State carry IGST. A branch in another State needs its own GSTIN and the right place of supply on each invoice: in Skyline Nexus ERP you choose the intra-State or inter-State tax group on the sale.
GST rates in force since 22 September 2025 (5%, 18%, 40%; 0.25%, 1.5% and 3% for stones and jewellery) and older rates for past periods; a cess as an extra component of a tax group.
Tax groups combining CGST + SGST (or UTGST) into one rate, plus IGST rates, set per product and chosen per sale.
Prices entered tax-inclusive or tax-exclusive per product; the POS works out the tax either way.
Your GSTIN as the business tax number and the customer's GSTIN on the contact record, both printed on invoices.
An HSN column on invoices from the product category code, an editable invoice heading (for example "Tax Invoice" or "Bill of Supply") and a receipt design that prints each tax component in its own column.
Credit notes for sales returns, debit notes for sales and purchases, and purchase returns.
With auto-posting on, every final sale, return, purchase and expense posts output or input tax to its own ledger account, matching the tax report.
Branches with their own invoice numbering and invoice layout; a branch's own GSTIN can be printed on its invoices from a location field.
Tax report: input tax on purchases, output tax on sales and tax on expenses for any period, branch or contact.
Trial balance, general ledger and day book with the input and output tax accounts, exported to Excel or PDF.
Audit Pack: one Excel workbook with trial balance, balance sheet, P&L, journals, sales, purchases and a ledger tax summary.
Sales and purchase lists your chartered accountant can use to prepare GST returns. Skyline Nexus ERP does not file returns itself.
Automatic CGST + SGST or IGST from the place of supply.
HSN and SAC codes per item with validation, and separate B2B, B2C and export invoice types.
GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B style summaries and input tax credit matching: ask us.
E-invoicing through the Invoice Registration Portal (IRN and signed QR): the India connector is built but not live. Ask us for your go-live date.
E-way bills and direct filing on the GST portal.
Reverse-charge marking for India, TDS and TCS.
Indian payroll items (PF, ESI, professional tax) are not offered: payroll in Skyline Nexus ERP is built for Saudi Arabia.

Every West Bengal GSTIN opens with 19. Supplies inside the State carry CGST and SGST at half the rate each; supplies to Jharkhand, Bihar, Odisha or the North-East carry IGST at the full rate. Registration applies above INR 20 lakh aggregate turnover, with an INR 40 lakh option for most goods-only suppliers, and some suppliers must register regardless of turnover.
Skyline Nexus ERP handles GST as tax groups that you define, for example CGST 9% with SGST 9%, or IGST 18%, and you choose intra-State or inter-State per sale; an HSN column prints from the category code. West Bengal manufacturers above INR 5 crore must report B2B invoices for an IRN, which Skyline Nexus does not do yet, and GSTR returns and e-way bills are on the roadmap.
India onboarding is by the India waitlist and a demo: the page offers Join the waitlist, Book a demo and Ask on WhatsApp. A West Bengal business with several sites should list each plant, depot and office as a location, then prepare products and opening stock as CSV, contacts with GSTIN and opening balances, and the chart of accounts.
Skyline Nexus ERP runs in INR with a financial year from April, dd-mm-yyyy dates and amounts in words in lakh and crore. The interface is in English, with a Hindi interface translation available. Support is by WhatsApp, phone and e-mail from outside India, as there is no office in the country.
West Bengal GSTINs all begin with the State code 19. Skyline Nexus ERP stores the GSTIN for the business and for each contact and prints it on invoices. A West Bengal firm with a branch in another State needs a separate GSTIN there, which can be set up as a separate business location in Skyline Nexus.
A West Bengal supplier of goods only may use the INR 40 lakh registration threshold, except for ice cream, pan masala and tobacco; mixed or service suppliers use INR 20 lakh. Some suppliers must register whatever their turnover. Skyline Nexus ERP shows turnover in its sales reports but does not give a registration ruling.
Skyline Nexus ERP includes manufacturing with work orders, bills of materials and routings, plus purchases, stock with FIFO or LIFO costing, CMMS maintenance and asset management. A West Bengal jute or engineering unit can plan production, value material and post sales in one system. Statutory jute-specific returns are not part of Skyline Nexus.
A North Bengal tea packer can use Skyline Nexus ERP for buying made tea, bills of materials for blends and pack sizes, stock per warehouse and credit sales to distributors. Cost centres separate packing from trading. Tea auction or garden leaf registers are not features of Skyline Nexus, so those stay in their existing records.
Many billing apps print GST bills and count stock, while books are completed later in another package. Skyline Nexus ERP posts balanced journals from final sales, purchases, payments and expenses once auto-posting is on, so a West Bengal firm sees current statements per branch. Some billing apps already offer IRN e-invoicing and offline billing, which Skyline Nexus does not yet.
Skyline Nexus ERP offers an English interface and a Hindi interface translation for West Bengal teams, with INR as the business currency. Dates can be dd-mm-yyyy, the financial year can start in April, and invoices can show the amount in words using lakh and crore.
A West Bengal company joins the India waitlist for Skyline Nexus ERP on this page, then books a demo or asks on WhatsApp. Products, opening stock, contacts and the chart of accounts can be imported from CSV files. Support is provided by WhatsApp, phone and e-mail, without an office in India.
