Odoo alternative: what Odoo costs today and who this page is for

For a small business pricing Odoo: Odoo Standard costs 31.10 euros per user per month on monthly billing, or 24.90 euros on yearly billing, excluding taxes, on Odoo's pricing page as of 10 October 2026, as shown to a visitor from Saudi Arabia with English settings. Skyline Nexus ERP Solo, for one user and one location, costs USD 19 per month or USD 190 per year at its regular price.

This page is for owners and finance managers of small businesses in the Gulf, Ireland, Canada, the United Kingdom and other English-speaking markets who are pricing Odoo for a handful of users, or who already pay for Odoo and want to know what a fixed-price alternative covers and what it does not. Every Odoo figure below was read on Odoo's own pages on 10 October 2026; prices change, so confirm them on the Odoo pricing page.

The comparison is deliberately narrow: regular price against regular price, one user against one user, monthly against monthly and yearly against yearly. Promotions on either side are shown separately and never set against the other product's list price.

Odoo pricing 2026: the plans as published

Odoo sells its hosted software as plans priced per user per month, not as individual apps. The pricing page shows three plans plus a reduced-rights licence, with a Yearly and a Monthly toggle. The figures below are the euro list seen on 10 October 2026 and exclude taxes.

  • One App Free: 0 euros, one app, unlimited users, hosted on Odoo Online. Odoo says apps that the chosen app depends on come free too, and guarantees that its usage is free for unlimited users, forever (Odoo pricing page, as of 10 October 2026).
  • Standard: 31.10 euros per user per month on monthly billing, 24.90 euros per user per month on yearly billing; all apps, hosted on Odoo Online (Odoo pricing page, as of 10 October 2026).
  • Custom: 56.90 euros per user per month on monthly billing, 44.90 euros per user per month on yearly billing; all apps plus Odoo Studio and agentic AI, multi-company, an external API, and hosting on Odoo Online, Odoo.sh or on-premise (Odoo pricing page, as of 10 October 2026).
  • Light User: 7.90 euros per month for a user with limited rights such as personal time off, expenses and inventory barcode operations; Odoo says the licence is obtained by scheduling a meeting with an Odoo advisor (Odoo pricing page, as of 10 October 2026).
  • First-year discount: the page also shows 19.90 euros (Standard) and 35.90 euros (Custom) per user per month on yearly billing, and 24.90 and 44.90 euros on monthly billing, with the footnote that the discount is valid for 12 months, for initial users ordered (Odoo pricing page, as of 10 October 2026).
  • Included in all plans, in Odoo's words: unlimited support, hosting and maintenance, and upgrades at no extra fee. Not included: hosting on Odoo.sh for custom developments, implementation services and access to Odoo expert services, in-app purchase credits such as SMS and AI document scanning, and maintenance of custom code (Odoo pricing page, as of 10 October 2026).

Which Odoo price list you will see, and taxes on top

On 10 October 2026 the Odoo pricing page, requested from Saudi Arabia with English (en-US) settings, showed a euro list. The Arabic version of the page, a request with Canadian English settings, and the German page requested from Germany all showed the same euro figures. Odoo may show visitors in other countries a different currency or different amounts, which we could not check, so open the pricing page from your own location before budgeting.

Taxes are extra. Section 5.3 of the Odoo Enterprise Subscription Agreement states that all fees and charges are exclusive of all applicable federal, provincial, state, local or other governmental taxes, and that the customer is responsible for paying them. In Ireland and the United Kingdom that means VAT on top of the list price; in Canada GST or HST; in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates VAT at the local rate. Skyline Nexus ERP prices are also published excluding VAT, so both sides of this comparison are net figures.

Who counts as a paying user in Odoo

The number of paying users decides the monthly bill, so it is worth reading Odoo's own definition. The pricing page's questions and answers say a paying user is someone who has access to the Odoo backend to create, view or edit documents, or an employee record in the HR application that has no linked user. External users such as customers and suppliers who use the portal to see their invoices are not paying users (Odoo pricing page, as of 10 October 2026).

A worked example at the regular Standard price on monthly billing: two people in the office work in the backend, and three warehouse staff only exist as employee records without a user account. Odoo's paying-user answer counts such records as paying users, which gives 5 x 31.10 euros = 155.50 euros per month. Its Light User answer says such records are considered Light Users, which gives 2 x 31.10 euros + 3 x 7.90 euros = 85.90 euros per month. Ask Odoo which applies before you sign, and count every person who will appear in the HR app, not only the people who log in.

Odoo also notes that installing Studio or adding companies to your database automatically moves you from the Standard plan to the Custom plan. If a second legal entity is in your plans, budget at the Custom rate from the start.

What Odoo offers that Skyline Nexus ERP does not

Before you look at an Odoo alternative, be clear about what you would give up. The following are described on Odoo's own pages as retrieved on 10 October 2026, and Skyline Nexus ERP does not offer them today.

  • Bank synchronisation: Odoo's accounting page says Odoo integrates with 28,000 banks from around the world so you never import bank statements manually. Skyline Nexus ERP reconciles bank accounts from statement files you import (CSV, TXT, XLSX or XLS); it has no direct bank feeds.
  • A mobile companion app: Odoo's accounting page describes a mobile experience for photographing expenses. Skyline Nexus ERP is used in the browser and has no app of its own in the app stores.
  • Self-hosting and an open-source edition: Odoo Community is the open-source core, and the Custom plan allows you to download Odoo Enterprise and host it yourself or on Odoo.sh. Skyline Nexus ERP is a cloud service only.
  • An app store: Odoo runs an apps store with third-party and community modules. Skyline Nexus ERP ships its modules in one subscription and has no marketplace.
  • Odoo Studio, multi-company in one database and an external API on the Custom plan. Skyline Nexus ERP Solo is one user and one business; it has no low-code studio and no general-ledger API.
  • Website, eCommerce and Sign apps in the same subscription. Skyline Nexus ERP does not include a website builder or an e-signature tool.
  • Growth user by user: Odoo adds users at the per-user price. Skyline Nexus ERP Solo stays at one user; the next step is the Core plan with five users.

Annual cost for one user: Odoo Standard and Skyline Nexus ERP Solo

The arithmetic uses twelve paid months, net of tax, regular price against regular price. The scope is not identical: Odoo Standard includes all Odoo apps for one user with hosting and support; Skyline Nexus ERP Solo includes every module of the Core plan for one user and one business location, including general ledger, invoicing, purchases, inventory, POS, CRM and VAT reports. Odoo figures are from the Odoo pricing page as of 10 October 2026; Skyline Nexus ERP figures are from its pricing page on the same date.

We do not convert currencies. Odoo's list reached us in euros, so the comparison below pairs it with Skyline Nexus ERP Solo's euro price for Ireland and states the US dollar price separately. We did not check the list Odoo shows a visitor in Ireland; confirm it before budgeting.

  • Monthly billing, regular, one user: Odoo Standard 12 x 31.10 euros = 373.20 euros. Skyline Nexus ERP Solo in Ireland 12 x 17 euros = 204 euros; in the United States 12 x USD 19 = USD 228.
  • Yearly billing, regular, one user: Odoo Standard 12 x 24.90 euros = 298.80 euros. Skyline Nexus ERP Solo in Ireland 170 euros for twelve months; in the United States USD 190 for twelve months.
  • Other Skyline Nexus ERP Solo regular prices, each per month and per year, excluding VAT: GBP 15 and GBP 150 in the United Kingdom; CAD 25 and CAD 250 in Canada; SAR 69 and SAR 690 in Saudi Arabia, where 15 percent VAT is added at checkout (SAR 79.35 per month including VAT).
  • Promotions compared only with promotions: Odoo's first-year discount gives Standard at 24.90 euros per user per month on monthly billing (12 x 24.90 = 298.80 euros) or 19.90 euros on yearly billing (12 x 19.90 = 238.80 euros) for initial users ordered. Skyline Nexus ERP has a launch offer, described in the Solo section below, valid until 31 January 2027.
  • From the second user, Odoo bills each additional user at the per-user price; Skyline Nexus ERP Solo cannot add users, so a second user means the Core plan.

Who should not switch away from Odoo

For many businesses Odoo is the right tool and an alternative would be a step back. Stay with Odoo, or choose it, in these situations.

  • Multi-company groups: if you run several legal entities and want them in one database, Odoo's Custom plan lists multi-company; Skyline Nexus ERP Solo is one user in one business.
  • Manufacturing with material requirements planning: if your production depends on bills of materials, work orders and MRP scheduling across a plant, keep a product designed around that workload and evaluate it with your own routings before any change.
  • Teams that rely on the app store, self-hosting or the Community edition: if you have custom modules, a developer who maintains them, or a policy that software must run on your own servers, Odoo's Custom plan, Odoo.sh or Odoo Community fit and Skyline Nexus ERP does not.
  • Businesses that need bank feeds and a mobile app on day one: Odoo advertises both; Skyline Nexus ERP works from imported statement files and in the browser.
  • A single-app need: if you only want invoicing or only CRM, Odoo's One App Free plan costs nothing for unlimited users, which is less than any paid plan, including Skyline Nexus ERP.
  • More than one backend user from the first day: Odoo grows per user; Skyline Nexus ERP Solo would need the Core plan at once.

When a fixed-price Odoo alternative makes sense

An alternative with a fixed monthly price fits a different profile: one person who handles purchasing, stock, sales and the books, who wants every module switched on from the start, and who prefers a known amount each month to a per-user bill that moves with headcount. Typical cases are a trading company with a single warehouse, a workshop or service business that also sells parts, a retail shop with one till, and a start-up founder who will add staff later.

In the Gulf the deciding factor is often e-invoicing. Skyline Nexus ERP includes ZATCA Phase 2 e-invoicing for Saudi Arabia in every plan: onboarding with compliance and production CSIDs, clearance and reporting of invoices, XML and QR download, and error messages per invoice. For Ireland, the United Kingdom and Canada the deciding factors are more often inventory per location with FIFO costing, a POS that posts to the ledger, and statements such as trial balance, profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow that come out of the same data.

If you are in a country where mandatory e-invoicing is arriving, ask any vendor, including us, for the go-live date of its national connector in writing. National e-invoicing connectors for Skyline Nexus ERP are being rolled out market by market.

Skyline Nexus ERP Solo as an Odoo alternative

Skyline Nexus ERP Solo is the plan for one user and one business location with the same modules as the Core plan: a general ledger that posts automatically from sales, purchases, payments, payroll and depreciation; invoices with credit and debit notes; purchasing; stock per location with FIFO costing and valuation, movement and ageing reports; a POS with cash registers; CRM; asset management with depreciation; VAT reports and a prefilled VAT return form; bank reconciliation from imported statement files; cost centres and budgets; roles, permissions and an audit trail; and trial balance, profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow. The interface is available in English and Arabic, with translations for many other languages. Foreign-currency invoices are recorded with manually entered rates on a base-currency ledger. An in-app AI assistant answers how-do-I questions from the product's own help library.

The regular price is USD 19 per month or USD 190 per year, excluding tax. Every plan starts with a free first month: 30 days, all modules, your own data, no card needed. Launch offer, valid until 31 January 2027: 50 percent off the first 3 paid months on monthly billing, or 15 months for the annual price. On monthly billing the first 12 paid months with the launch offer come to 3 x USD 9.50 + 9 x USD 19 = USD 199.50; from month 4 the regular USD 19 applies. On annual billing USD 190 covers 15 months under the offer, which is USD 12.67 per month. You can upgrade to Core (five users) at any time; the change applies at once and unused time is credited.

Common questions

How much does Odoo cost per user per month?

Odoo Standard costs 31.10 euros per user per month on monthly billing or 24.90 euros per user per month on yearly billing, and Odoo Custom costs 56.90 euros or 44.90 euros, excluding taxes, as shown on the Odoo pricing page to a visitor from Saudi Arabia with English settings on 10 October 2026. A first-year discount for initial users ordered is shown separately. Visitors in other countries may see a different currency or amount, so check the page from your own country.

Is Odoo free?

Odoo has a plan called One App Free: one app for unlimited users at no cost, hosted on Odoo Online; apps that the chosen app depends on come free too. Odoo Community is the open-source edition you install and run yourself. According to Odoo's FAQ, installing additional apps upgrades you to the Standard plan, priced per user. Both facts are from Odoo's pricing and editions pages as of 10 October 2026.

Odoo vs ERPNext: how do they differ?

The choice between Odoo and ERPNext usually comes down to the apps you need, the implementation partners available in your country, and whether you will self-host. Odoo has an open-source Community edition and prices its hosted plans per user per month, as described on this page. We have not fetched ERPNext's pages for this article and make no statement about its features or prices; compare the two on their own pricing pages on the same day, for the same users and apps.

Odoo vs Zoho Books: which suits a small business?

Odoo is a suite of business apps priced per user, with accounting as one app among sales, inventory, POS, HR, website and eCommerce. Zoho Books is accounting software priced per organisation with a set number of users per plan: on its US list as of 10 October 2026, Standard is USD 20 per month for 3 users and Professional, which adds inventory, USD 50 per month for 5 users, excluding taxes. For one accounting tool, compare Zoho Books Professional with Odoo Standard for the same number of users.

Odoo vs QuickBooks: which should I choose?

Odoo is a suite of apps priced per user that includes accounting; QuickBooks Online is sold as accounting software. If your need is bookkeeping, invoicing and bank reconciliation for a service business, an accounting product is usually enough. If you also run stock, purchasing, a shop or projects, a suite avoids separate tools. We have not fetched QuickBooks pages for this article and make no statement about its plans or prices; check Intuit's pricing page for your country and compare the same billing period.

What is the cheapest Odoo alternative?

No single product is cheapest for everyone, because the answer depends on how many users you have, which apps you need, whether you can self-host, and your country's price list and taxes. For a single app, Odoo's own One App Free plan costs nothing. For one user who needs ledger, stock, POS and invoicing together, a fixed-price plan such as Skyline Nexus ERP Solo at USD 19 per month (regular price, excluding tax) is one option to put on the shortlist; for more users, compare total yearly cost.

Does Skyline Nexus ERP offer on-premise hosting like Odoo?

No. Skyline Nexus ERP is a cloud service only. Odoo's Custom plan allows hosting on Odoo Online, on Odoo.sh or on your own servers, and Odoo Community can be installed anywhere, according to Odoo's pricing and editions pages as of 10 October 2026. If your policy requires software to run on your own infrastructure, that is a reason to stay with Odoo or another self-hosted product.
