Zoho Books alternative: what Zoho Books costs today and who this page is for
Zoho Books Standard costs USD 20 per organisation per month, or USD 15 per month billed annually, for 3 users, excluding local taxes, on Zoho's US pricing page as of 10 October 2026; Professional, which adds inventory, costs USD 50 or USD 40 for 5 users. Skyline Nexus ERP Solo, one user and one location, every module, costs USD 19 per month or USD 190 per year, regular price.
This page is for small businesses in the Gulf, Ireland, Canada, the United Kingdom and other English-speaking markets comparing Zoho Books with an ERP that includes inventory, POS and a general ledger in one subscription. Every Zoho Books figure was read on Zoho's own US pricing page on 10 October 2026. Zoho publishes separate regional price lists, including for the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and India; only the US dollar list is quoted here. Prices change, so confirm them on Zoho's page for your country.
The comparison is regular price against regular price, monthly against monthly and annual against annual, with the users and features included stated beside every figure. Promotions on either side are kept separate.
Zoho Books pricing 2026: every plan on the US list
Zoho Books is priced per organisation per month, with a set number of users in each plan. The US page shows six plans with a Monthly and a Yearly toggle and states that prices are exclusive of local taxes. All figures below are from the Zoho Books US pricing page as of 10 October 2026.
- Free: USD 0, 1 user plus 1 accountant, email support. Invoices, quotes, expenses and journals, bank reconciliation, recurring invoices, a self-service customer portal, online payments, W-9 and 1099 tracking, profit and loss, balance sheet and more than 50 reports. Zoho says the free plan is available indefinitely as long as revenue for the financial year does not exceed USD 50,000.
- Standard: USD 20 per month on monthly billing, USD 15 per month billed annually, 3 users. Adds bank feeds, sales and use tax tracking, 1099 e-filing, period locking, custom fields and reports, and API access.
- Professional: USD 50 per month on monthly billing, USD 40 per month billed annually, 5 users. Adds sales and purchase orders, multi-currency transactions, inventory tracking, price lists, project billing, approvals and custom roles.
- Premium: USD 70 per month on monthly billing, USD 60 per month billed annually, 10 users. Adds basic revenue recognition, fixed asset management, budgets, cash flow forecasting, a vendor portal and custom modules.
- Elite: USD 150 per month on monthly billing, USD 120 per month billed annually, 10 users. Adds advanced inventory control, warehouses, serial and batch tracking, shipping labels and online sales channels such as Shopify (up to 2 stores), Etsy, eBay and Amazon.
- Ultimate: USD 275 per month on monthly billing, USD 240 per month billed annually, 15 users. Adds advanced analytics and dashboards.
- Add-ons: extra users USD 3 per user per month on monthly billing or USD 2.50 billed annually; locations USD 12 or USD 10 per location per month; expense claims USD 9 or USD 7 per active user per month; document autoscans USD 10 or USD 8 per 50 scans per month; BillPay USD 69 or USD 59 per month. Add-ons are not supported in the Free plan except document autoscans.
Regional price lists: UK, UAE, Saudi Arabia, India and others
Zoho Books has country editions. The region selector on the US pricing page lists, among others, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, India, Australia, Canada, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and Global. When we requested the global pricing URL on 10 October 2026 from Saudi Arabia with English settings, Zoho served a German-language euro edition, which shows how much the page depends on where you are.
Because plan contents, user counts and tax treatment can differ between editions, do not budget from the US dollar list if you will buy a UK, UAE, Saudi or Indian edition: open the edition for your country and compare the same plan name and billing period. Skyline Nexus ERP also prices by country; its other regular prices are given in the cost section below.
Limits that change the real cost of Zoho Books
The headline price is only part of the yearly bill. Zoho's own questions and answers on the US pricing page, as of 10 October 2026, set these limits per plan.
- Invoices per year: Free up to 1,000; Standard up to 5,000; Professional up to 10,000; Premium up to 25,000; Elite and Ultimate up to 100,000. Bills and expenses follow the same limits.
- Users included: Free 1 user plus 1 accountant; Standard 3; Professional 5; Premium 10; Elite 10; Ultimate 15. More users cost USD 3 per user per month on monthly billing or USD 2.50 billed annually.
- Free plan threshold: available indefinitely while financial-year revenue stays at or below USD 50,000.
- Receipt autoscans: 50 per month on Free and trial, 200 on Standard and Professional, 1,000 on Premium and above.
- Scheduled reports: 5 on Free, 50 on Standard, 200 on Professional and above.
- Inventory: basic inventory tracking starts at Professional; warehouses, serial and batch tracking and bin locations start at Elite.
- Contract: Zoho describes Zoho Books as pay-as-you-go with no obligation to sign a contract, and says you can cancel at any time.
- Taxes: all prices are exclusive of local taxes, so add VAT, GST or HST for your country.
What Zoho Books offers that Skyline Nexus ERP does not
Before you consider a Zoho Books alternative, know what you would give up. Zoho describes the following on its US pricing page as of 10 October 2026, and Skyline Nexus ERP does not offer them today.
- Bank feeds: Zoho Books connects bank feeds from the Standard plan. Skyline Nexus ERP reconciles bank accounts from statement files you import (CSV, TXT, XLSX or XLS) and has no direct bank connection.
- Mobile apps: Zoho Books has dedicated iOS and Android apps and describes accounting across desktops, phones, tablets and smartwatches. Skyline Nexus ERP is used in the browser and has no app of its own in the app stores.
- Client portal: Zoho Books includes a self-service customer portal from the Free plan and a vendor portal from Premium. Skyline Nexus ERP has no customer or supplier portal.
- The Zoho ecosystem: Zoho Books sits in a suite that includes Zoho One, a marketplace that Zoho says holds more than 2,900 extensions, and AI agents and search across Zoho apps. Skyline Nexus ERP is one product with its own modules and no marketplace.
- Online payments and receipt autoscans built into the plans, 1099 and W-9 handling for the United States, and online sales channels such as Shopify, Etsy, eBay and Amazon on the Elite plan.
- Growth per user inside the same plan: Zoho Books adds users for USD 3 per month each. Skyline Nexus ERP Solo stays at one user; the next step is the Core plan with five users.
What Skyline Nexus ERP includes in every plan
Skyline Nexus ERP sells one subscription with every module switched on; the plans differ by users and locations, not by features. Solo is one user and one business location; Core is five users. Every plan includes a general ledger that posts automatically from sales, purchases, payments, payroll and depreciation; invoices with credit and debit notes; purchasing; stock per location with FIFO costing; a POS with cash registers; CRM; asset management; cost centres and budgets; VAT reports with a prefilled return form; bank reconciliation from imported statements; roles, permissions and an audit trail; and trial balance, profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow.
For Saudi Arabia, every plan includes ZATCA Phase 2 e-invoicing: onboarding with compliance and production CSIDs, compliance checks, clearance and reporting of invoices, XML and QR download, and error and warning messages per invoice. For the United Kingdom, VAT returns are prepared in the product and submitted through MTD bridging software or your accountant's MTD software; direct MTD filing is being rolled out. National e-invoicing connectors for other countries are being rolled out market by market; ask for your country's go-live date in writing.
Annual cost: Zoho Books and Skyline Nexus ERP Solo
The arithmetic uses twelve paid months, net of tax, regular price against regular price, in US dollars on both sides. The scope differs and is stated with each figure: Zoho Books Standard is accounting with bank feeds for 3 users without inventory; Zoho Books Professional adds inventory tracking for 5 users; Skyline Nexus ERP Solo is one user and one location with every module, including inventory and POS. Zoho figures are from the Zoho Books US pricing page as of 10 October 2026; Skyline Nexus ERP figures are from its pricing page on the same date.
- Monthly billing, regular: Zoho Books Standard 12 x USD 20 = USD 240 (3 users, no inventory). Zoho Books Professional 12 x USD 50 = USD 600 (5 users, inventory). Skyline Nexus ERP Solo 12 x USD 19 = USD 228 (1 user, all modules).
- Annual billing, regular: Zoho Books Standard 12 x USD 15 = USD 180 (3 users, no inventory). Zoho Books Professional 12 x USD 40 = USD 480 (5 users, inventory). Skyline Nexus ERP Solo USD 190 for twelve months (1 user, all modules).
- Read it both ways: on annual billing Zoho Books Standard at USD 180 costs USD 10 less per year than Solo and includes three users, so for a service business with no stock it is the lower figure. Where inventory is needed, Zoho Books Professional at USD 480 per year compares with Solo at USD 190, a difference of USD 290 for one user.
- Skyline Nexus ERP Solo regular prices in other countries, per month and per year, excluding VAT: EUR 17 and EUR 170 in Ireland; GBP 15 and GBP 150 in the United Kingdom; CAD 25 and CAD 250 in Canada; SAR 69 and SAR 690 in Saudi Arabia, where 15 percent VAT is added at checkout (SAR 79.35 per month including VAT).
- Promotions are not in these sums. Skyline Nexus ERP's launch offer, valid until 31 January 2027, is described in the Solo section below.
Who should not switch away from Zoho Books
For many businesses Zoho Books is the right tool, and a switch would cost more than it saves. Stay with Zoho Books, or choose it, in these situations.
- You depend on bank feeds: if your bookkeeping routine starts with transactions arriving from the bank each morning, Zoho Books Standard provides that and Skyline Nexus ERP works from imported statement files.
- You work from your phone: field service, consultants on the road and owners who approve bills in a mobile app should keep a product with native apps.
- Your customers use the portal: if clients view and pay invoices through a self-service portal, keep it.
- You are inside the Zoho ecosystem: if your CRM, email, help desk or people records already run on Zoho apps, the integration between them is a reason to stay.
- You are a solopreneur with revenue under USD 50,000 who needs invoicing and basic books: the Zoho Books Free plan costs nothing, which is less than any paid plan, including Skyline Nexus ERP Solo.
- You need three users but no stock: Zoho Books Standard on annual billing costs less than Solo and includes 3 users.
- You track US sales and use tax and file 1099s: Zoho Books lists those workflows and Skyline Nexus ERP does not include them.
- You are in the United Arab Emirates and want a vendor already listed as an accredited e-invoicing service provider: Skyline Nexus ERP makes no such claim; its live e-invoicing integration is ZATCA Phase 2 for Saudi Arabia.
When a Zoho Books alternative with inventory and POS fits
An alternative fits when the accounting tool is becoming the smaller part of the job. Typical signs: you track stock in a spreadsheet beside the books; you run a shop or counter and re-key sales at day end; you buy in one currency and sell in another and want the ledger in your base currency; or you are in Saudi Arabia and need ZATCA Phase 2 clearance inside the system that issues the invoice.
In an ERP the sale, the stock movement and the journal are one event: a POS sale reduces stock at that location, records cost of sales on a FIFO basis and posts revenue, VAT and cash. Test that in a trial: sell one item, receive one purchase, then read the trial balance and the stock valuation report.
Zoho Books Professional also tracks inventory; the question is how deep it goes: per-location stock, FIFO valuation, stock ageing, transfers between locations, and a POS tied to cash registers. Test both with your own product list before you decide.
Skyline Nexus ERP Solo as a Zoho Books alternative
Skyline Nexus ERP Solo is the plan for one user and one business location, with the same modules as the Core plan listed above. Foreign-currency invoices are recorded with manually entered rates on a base-currency ledger. The interface is available in English and Arabic, with translations for many other languages, and an in-app AI assistant answers how-do-I questions from the product's own help library. Data import tools cover contacts, products and opening balances.
The regular price is USD 19 per month or USD 190 per year, excluding tax. Every plan starts with a free first month: 30 days, all modules, your own data, no card needed. Launch offer, valid until 31 January 2027: 50 percent off the first 3 paid months on monthly billing, or 15 months for the annual price. On monthly billing the first 12 paid months with the launch offer come to 3 x USD 9.50 + 9 x USD 19 = USD 199.50; from month 4 the regular USD 19 applies. On annual billing USD 190 covers 15 months under the offer, which is USD 12.67 per month. You can upgrade to Core (five users) at any time; the change applies at once and unused time is credited.
Start the free month of Skyline Nexus ERP Solo: import your product list, enter one week of sales and purchases, and compare the trial balance with your current books before you commit.

Is Zoho Books free?
Zoho Books has a Free plan on its US list: USD 0 for 1 user plus 1 accountant, with invoices, quotes, expenses, bank reconciliation, a customer portal and more than 50 reports. Zoho states the Free plan is available indefinitely as long as revenue for the financial year does not exceed USD 50,000, and it allows up to 1,000 invoices per year. Above that threshold or volume, the paid plans apply. Source: Zoho Books US pricing page, as of 10 October 2026.
Zoho Books vs QuickBooks: which is right for a small business?
Zoho Books and QuickBooks Online are both sold as cloud accounting software. Zoho Books prices its plans per organisation per month, as described on this page; we have not fetched QuickBooks pages for this article and make no statement about its plans or prices. Compare the two on the same day, for the same country edition, billing period and number of users, and check which plan gives you bank feeds, inventory and the tax workflows you need.
Zoho Books vs Xero: how do they differ?
Zoho Books and Xero are both sold as cloud accounting software. On its US list as of 10 October 2026, Zoho Books includes bank feeds from the Standard plan and inventory from Professional, and belongs to the wider Zoho suite with Zoho One. We have not fetched Xero's pages for this article and make no statement about its plans or prices. Compare the same plan tier in your country on the same day, and test inventory and multi-currency with your own data.
Zoho Books vs Tally: which suits a trading business?
Zoho Books is cloud accounting with per-organisation plans and regional editions. We have not fetched Tally's pages for this article and make no statement about its features or prices. A trading business should test three things in each product: stock valuation per location, how a sale posts to the ledger, and the e-invoicing or VAT return process for its country. Zoho Books on the US list adds inventory tracking at the Professional plan, USD 50 per month for 5 users, as of 10 October 2026.
Does Zoho Books include inventory?
Yes, from the Professional plan upwards on the US list: Professional (USD 50 per month monthly, USD 40 billed annually, 5 users) includes inventory tracking, sales and purchase orders and price lists; Elite (USD 150 or USD 120, 10 users) adds advanced inventory control, warehouses, serial and batch tracking and bin locations, according to the Zoho Books US pricing page as of 10 October 2026. The Free and Standard plans do not list inventory. Skyline Nexus ERP includes per-location stock with FIFO costing in every plan, including Solo.
What is the cheapest Zoho Books alternative?
No single product is cheapest for everyone; it depends on your users, whether you need inventory or a POS, your country's price list and taxes, and whether a free tier covers you. Below USD 50,000 revenue, the Zoho Books Free plan costs nothing. For three users without stock, Zoho Books Standard billed annually (USD 180 per year) costs less than Skyline Nexus ERP Solo (USD 190). For one user who needs inventory and POS with the ledger, Solo at USD 19 per month regular price is one option.
Is there a Zoho Invoice alternative that grows into full accounting?
If you need invoicing today and expect to add stock, purchasing and a point of sale later, choose a product whose entry plan already contains those modules, so growth means more users rather than a migration. Skyline Nexus ERP Solo includes invoicing with credit notes, purchasing, per-location stock, POS and the general ledger for one user at USD 19 per month, excluding tax, with an upgrade to Core for five users. Zoho's own route is Zoho Books, whose Free plan covers invoicing and whose Professional plan adds inventory, as of 10 October 2026.
