Jaipur at a glance
Jaipur's walled city is a grid of trades. Johari Bazaar sells gold and gemstone jewellery, Bapu Bazaar and Nehru Bazaar sell textiles, juttis and handicrafts, and MI Road carries showrooms and restaurants. Outside the walls, Sitapura RIICO hosts gem-cutting and export units, Vishwakarma Industrial Area runs workshops, Sanganer and Bagru print fabric by hand and screen, and Mahindra World City adds IT and manufacturing.
A Jaipur shop registers for GST on the national portal under Rajasthan code 08, and the Nagar Nigam Jaipur handles municipal licences for the walled city and the newer areas. Hotels and restaurants also deal with the district administration. The daily headache is the gap between what the counter sold, what the karigar or printer holds and what the accountant sees weeks later.
A Johari Bazaar jeweller sells across the counter to tourists and wedding buyers, while an exporter in Sitapura cuts emeralds and other coloured stones for buyers abroad. Pieces travel between showroom, setter and polisher, the same stone may be shown to several buyers on approval, and every design differs in weight and price.
Skyline Nexus ERP records each design or lot as a product with stock per location, and a setter or polisher can be a location of its own, so a Jaipur jeweller knows where each piece sits. Sales post sales, tax and cost of goods once auto-posting is on. A 3% tax group covers gold and jewellery sales, and stones can carry their own rate.
Jaipur's heritage hotels, rooftop restaurants and cafés near Hawa Mahal and the Amer road run on the tourist calendar, busiest from October to March. A typical owner has a restaurant, a bar, a gift shop and a kitchen store, with provisions bought daily and staff who change each season.
Skyline Nexus ERP provides POS with restaurant and kitchen features, so a Jaipur restaurant can send orders to the kitchen, close tables and print bills. Provisions and liquor are stocked per outlet, purchases post journals, and the profit and loss filters by outlet. Room bookings are not part of Skyline Nexus, so the hotel's reservation system stays in place.
Picture a Johari Bazaar jeweller with a showroom and two karigars. Typical billing apps print the GST bill and keep stock counts, while the books are often kept in an accountant's package or a spreadsheet, so the trial balance is rebuilt at month or year end. Credit-book apps note which retailer owes money, but not stock, purchases or a full double-entry ledger.
Separate accounting packages keep strong books, yet showroom bills are exported or re-keyed. In Skyline Nexus ERP, once Auto-post Sales Transactions is switched on, each final sale posts sales, output tax, cost of goods and inventory in one balanced journal, so the Jaipur jeweller sees a current balance sheet and profit by showroom. Some providers are ahead today on e-way bills, which Skyline Nexus cannot raise yet.
India tax integration
Rajasthan has GST State code 08: every GSTIN registered in Rajasthan starts with 08. Sales inside Rajasthan carry CGST + SGST; sales to another State carry IGST. A branch in another State needs its own GSTIN and the right place of supply on each invoice: in Skyline Nexus ERP you choose the intra-State or inter-State tax group on the sale.
GST rates in force since 22 September 2025 (5%, 18%, 40%; 0.25%, 1.5% and 3% for stones and jewellery) and older rates for past periods; a cess as an extra component of a tax group.
Tax groups combining CGST + SGST (or UTGST) into one rate, plus IGST rates, set per product and chosen per sale.
Prices entered tax-inclusive or tax-exclusive per product; the POS works out the tax either way.
Your GSTIN as the business tax number and the customer's GSTIN on the contact record, both printed on invoices.
An HSN column on invoices from the product category code, an editable invoice heading (for example "Tax Invoice" or "Bill of Supply") and a receipt design that prints each tax component in its own column.
Credit notes for sales returns, debit notes for sales and purchases, and purchase returns.
With auto-posting on, every final sale, return, purchase and expense posts output or input tax to its own ledger account, matching the tax report.
Branches with their own invoice numbering and invoice layout; a branch's own GSTIN can be printed on its invoices from a location field.
Tax report: input tax on purchases, output tax on sales and tax on expenses for any period, branch or contact.
Trial balance, general ledger and day book with the input and output tax accounts, exported to Excel or PDF.
Audit Pack: one Excel workbook with trial balance, balance sheet, P&L, journals, sales, purchases and a ledger tax summary.
Sales and purchase lists your chartered accountant can use to prepare GST returns. Skyline Nexus ERP does not file returns itself.
Automatic CGST + SGST or IGST from the place of supply.
HSN and SAC codes per item with validation, and separate B2B, B2C and export invoice types.
GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B style summaries and input tax credit matching: ask us.
E-invoicing through the Invoice Registration Portal (IRN and signed QR): the India connector is built but not live. Ask us for your go-live date.
E-way bills and direct filing on the GST portal.
Reverse-charge marking for India, TDS and TCS.
Indian payroll items (PF, ESI, professional tax) are not offered: payroll in Skyline Nexus ERP is built for Saudi Arabia.

A Jaipur GSTIN begins with 08, Rajasthan's code. A sale to a shop in Ajmer or Alwar carries CGST plus SGST at half the rate each; a parcel of jewellery to Delhi or Mumbai carries IGST at the full rate. Registration starts above INR 20 lakh turnover, while goods-only sellers may use INR 40 lakh, except ice cream, pan masala and tobacco.
Once a Jaipur exporter or wholesaler passes INR 5 crore aggregate turnover, B2B and export invoices need an IRN, and Skyline Nexus ERP cannot issue one yet. In Skyline Nexus the business defines groups such as CGST 1.5% plus SGST 1.5% for jewellery or IGST 3%, selects one per bill, and prints HSN from the category code, without GSTR return preparation.
Jaipur businesses join through the India waitlist on this page, then book a demo or message on WhatsApp. Before the call, put together the design or menu list with current stock, customers, karigars and suppliers with GSTIN and dues, the chart of accounts, and each showroom, outlet or workshop that should become a location.
Setup covers an April financial year, rupees, dd-mm-yyyy dates and totals in words in lakh and crore on every bill. Spreadsheets of products, stock and contacts load through CSV import into Skyline Nexus ERP. Skyline has no office in India, so Jaipur users reach the team on WhatsApp, by phone or by e-mail.
A Jaipur GSTIN starts with 08, the State code of Rajasthan. Sales within Rajasthan carry CGST plus SGST, and sales to buyers in other States carry IGST. Skyline Nexus ERP holds both kinds of tax group, and the user chooses one on each invoice.
Gold and jewellery carry 3% GST, split into CGST 1.5% and SGST 1.5% for a sale within Rajasthan or charged as IGST 3% to another State. In Skyline Nexus ERP a Jaipur jeweller creates these groups once and picks the correct one on each bill.
Yes. Skyline Nexus ERP can treat each setter or polisher as a stock location, so a Jaipur jeweller sees what sits in the showroom and what is with each karigar. Transfers move the pieces between locations, though they do not post to the ledger.
Skyline Nexus ERP covers restaurant POS with kitchen features, stock per outlet and purchases, and the accounts filter by outlet. A Jaipur heritage hotel keeps room reservations in its own system, because Skyline Nexus does not include room booking.
A Jaipur handicraft shop on a billing app usually gets printed GST bills and a stock count, with the accounts done later by someone else. In Skyline Nexus ERP, after the auto-post setting is enabled, every final bill becomes a balanced journal, so the shop's ledger and balance sheet are current. Billing apps can be ahead on IRN and e-way bills, which Skyline Nexus does not handle yet.
Jaipur staff can switch Skyline Nexus ERP to its Hindi interface translation or keep the English screens. Business amounts are in INR, the date style can be dd-mm-yyyy, and printed bills can show the total in words in lakh and crore. The ledger keeps one base currency.
A Jaipur business joins the India waitlist on this page, books a demo or asks on WhatsApp. Preparing designs or items with opening stock, contacts with GSTIN and balances, a chart of accounts and the list of outlets lets Skyline Nexus ERP import everything by CSV.
