Jodhpur at a glance
Jodhpur lives on wood, spice and visitors. The Boranada and Basni industrial areas of RIICO are packed with workshops turning sheesham, mango wood and iron into handicraft furniture for buyers in Europe and America. Guar gum plants process seed from the surrounding desert farms, and the mandi trades guar, cumin and other spices. Around Ghanta Ghar, traders sell bandhej textiles and spices, while heritage hotels sit under Mehrangarh.
Most Jodhpur firms are family exporters or traders who register for GST under Rajasthan code 08 on the national portal and take plots in RIICO areas, with the district administration handling local matters. Their usual trouble is that container shipments, local job work and the accountant's books each tell a slightly different story at the end of the year.
A Boranada furniture exporter takes an order for a container of tables and cabinets, buys timber and hardware, sends pieces to carvers and polishers outside the factory, and packs to the buyer's specification. Designs repeat with small changes, timber yield varies, and samples go out before every season. The Jodhpur owner needs a cost per piece and a clear view of work in progress.
Skyline Nexus ERP offers manufacturing work orders, bills of materials and routings, so timber, hardware and polish are consumed against each order. FIFO or LIFO costing sets cost of goods sold, and cost centres separate carving from finishing. A carver's workshop can be a stock location, and buyer enquiries, samples and proposals sit in the CRM.
Jodhpur's agri traders buy guar seed and cumin from farmers and commission agents in the mandi, store them in godowns, and sell to processors and exporters, sometimes after cleaning and grading. Prices move week to week, lots differ in quality, and payments to agents and from buyers rarely match in time. Each lot's margin matters.
Skyline Nexus ERP records each commodity and grade as a product with stock per godown, and FIFO costing keeps the cost of older lots separate from new purchases. Purchases from agents and payments post journals once auto-posting is switched on, and receivable and payable ageing show who owes whom. A Jodhpur trader sees profit by godown in the filtered reports.
Picture a Jodhpur furniture exporter with a Basni factory, a showroom for visiting buyers and a few outside carvers. Typical billing apps print GST bills and keep stock counts, while the books are often kept in an accountant's package or a spreadsheet, so the trial balance is rebuilt at month or year end. Credit-book apps show which buyer owes what, without stock, purchases or a full ledger.
Separate accounting packages have strong books, but showroom and factory sales are exported or re-keyed. In Skyline Nexus ERP, once Auto-post Sales Transactions is switched on, each final sale posts sales, output tax, cost of goods and inventory together, so the Jodhpur exporter sees a current trial balance and balance sheet by location. Other providers are ahead today on IRN for export invoices, which Skyline Nexus does not do yet.
India tax integration
Rajasthan has GST State code 08: every GSTIN registered in Rajasthan starts with 08. Sales inside Rajasthan carry CGST + SGST; sales to another State carry IGST. A branch in another State needs its own GSTIN and the right place of supply on each invoice: in Skyline Nexus ERP you choose the intra-State or inter-State tax group on the sale.
GST rates in force since 22 September 2025 (5%, 18%, 40%; 0.25%, 1.5% and 3% for stones and jewellery) and older rates for past periods; a cess as an extra component of a tax group.
Tax groups combining CGST + SGST (or UTGST) into one rate, plus IGST rates, set per product and chosen per sale.
Prices entered tax-inclusive or tax-exclusive per product; the POS works out the tax either way.
Your GSTIN as the business tax number and the customer's GSTIN on the contact record, both printed on invoices.
An HSN column on invoices from the product category code, an editable invoice heading (for example "Tax Invoice" or "Bill of Supply") and a receipt design that prints each tax component in its own column.
Credit notes for sales returns, debit notes for sales and purchases, and purchase returns.
With auto-posting on, every final sale, return, purchase and expense posts output or input tax to its own ledger account, matching the tax report.
Branches with their own invoice numbering and invoice layout; a branch's own GSTIN can be printed on its invoices from a location field.
Tax report: input tax on purchases, output tax on sales and tax on expenses for any period, branch or contact.
Trial balance, general ledger and day book with the input and output tax accounts, exported to Excel or PDF.
Audit Pack: one Excel workbook with trial balance, balance sheet, P&L, journals, sales, purchases and a ledger tax summary.
Sales and purchase lists your chartered accountant can use to prepare GST returns. Skyline Nexus ERP does not file returns itself.
Automatic CGST + SGST or IGST from the place of supply.
HSN and SAC codes per item with validation, and separate B2B, B2C and export invoice types.
GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B style summaries and input tax credit matching: ask us.
E-invoicing through the Invoice Registration Portal (IRN and signed QR): the India connector is built but not live. Ask us for your go-live date.
E-way bills and direct filing on the GST portal.
Reverse-charge marking for India, TDS and TCS.
Indian payroll items (PF, ESI, professional tax) are not offered: payroll in Skyline Nexus ERP is built for Saudi Arabia.

Jodhpur GSTINs start with 08. Furniture sold to a hotel in Udaipur or Bikaner carries CGST plus SGST at half the rate each; cumin sent to a processor in Gujarat carries IGST at the full rate. Registration applies above INR 20 lakh turnover, and goods-only suppliers may use the INR 40 lakh threshold, except ice cream, pan masala and tobacco.
Jodhpur exporters above INR 5 crore aggregate turnover must get an IRN for export and B2B invoices, which Skyline Nexus ERP does not support yet. In Skyline Nexus the exporter keeps tax groups like CGST 9% plus SGST 9% or IGST 18%, chooses the group on each bill, and can print HSN from the category code; e-way bills are not generated in Skyline Nexus.
A Jodhpur firm begins by joining the India waitlist on this page, then books a demo or writes on WhatsApp. A short checklist helps: designs or commodities with current quantities in the factory, godown and with outside carvers, buyers, agents and suppliers with GSTIN and balances, the chart of accounts, and the sites that should become locations.
Skyline Nexus ERP is set with an April financial year, INR as base currency, dd-mm-yyyy dates and bills that state totals in lakh and crore words. Product, stock and contact lists move in as CSV files. There is no Skyline office in India; Jodhpur customers get help on WhatsApp, by phone and by e-mail.
A Jodhpur GSTIN carries State code 08, because Jodhpur is in Rajasthan. Sales within Rajasthan carry CGST plus SGST and sales to other States carry IGST. Skyline Nexus ERP lets the user create both groups and pick one on every invoice.
A Jodhpur exporter below INR 5 crore aggregate turnover can record export sales and print invoices from Skyline Nexus ERP. Above that turnover export invoices need an IRN, which Skyline Nexus cannot obtain yet, so a larger exporter would need another route for the IRN.
Skyline Nexus ERP handles work orders, bills of materials and routings, so a Boranada unit can book timber and hardware against each order. FIFO or LIFO costing gives cost of goods sold, and outside carvers can be set up as stock locations in Jodhpur.
Yes. A Jodhpur trader can record each commodity and grade as a product with stock per godown in Skyline Nexus ERP. FIFO costing keeps older lots separate, and purchases from agents and buyer payments post to the ledger once auto-posting is switched on.
For a Jodhpur shop, a billing app typically handles printed GST bills and stock, and the accountant does the books afterwards. Skyline Nexus ERP, with auto-posting enabled, turns each final sale into a balanced journal, keeping the ledger current. Some billing apps are ahead on e-way bills, which Skyline Nexus does not create yet.
Jodhpur users can work in Skyline Nexus ERP in English or through its Hindi interface translation. INR is available as the business currency, dates can be dd-mm-yyyy, and invoices can write the total in lakh and crore. Accounts are kept in one base currency.
A Jodhpur business joins the India waitlist on this page, books a demo or asks on WhatsApp. With designs or commodities, opening stock, contacts with GSTIN and a chart of accounts ready, Skyline Nexus ERP imports the lists by CSV.
