Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, India
Jamshedpur grew around its steel works and truck plant, and the forging, machining and fabrication units of Adityapur now supply them; Skyline Nexus ERP runs production, stock and books for such firms.
Once auto-posting is on, each final sale and purchase posts its own journal, so a Jamshedpur ancillary sees order margins and branch figures during the month.
Plans from $19 per month, plus VAT where it applies · Prices shown in USD; we do not publish a price list for India yet.
Skyline Nexus ERP cannot yet meet the e-invoicing rules that apply to your business in India. Leave your details and we will contact you when it can.
Jamshedpur at a glance
Jamshedpur is a planned steel town with an industrial suburb across the Kharkai river. The Adityapur industrial area, managed by the JIADA Adityapur region in Seraikela-Kharsawan district, holds forging, machining, fabrication and auto-component units. Bistupur and Sakchi are the shopping streets, with Golmuri, Kadma and the Telco colony adding neighbourhood markets.
Typical Jamshedpur firms are plant ancillaries, maintenance and civil contractors, transporters, showrooms and restaurants. They register for GST under Jharkhand, many hold Udyam registration as MSMEs, and Adityapur units take plots from JIADA. The admin pain is clear: big buyers demand exact dispatch quantities, while small firms chase payments and job costs by hand.
An Adityapur unit may machine axle parts or fabricate structures for the large plants, working to purchase orders with tight delivery schedules. Raw steel, consumables, work in progress and rejected pieces all need tracking, and the owner wants to know whether a particular order made money once scrap and rework are counted.
Skyline Nexus ERP covers manufacturing with work orders, bills of materials and routings, and values issued material by FIFO or LIFO so each Jamshedpur order shows a real cost. CMMS maintenance work orders keep machines running, asset management records the lathes and presses, and cost centres split the shop floor from the tool room.
Many Jamshedpur businesses are contractors: maintenance gangs, civil works, fabrication and painting jobs inside the plants, each job billed against a work order from the plant. A contractor may run several jobs at once and must know labour hours, material drawn and running bills per job.
Skyline Nexus ERP sets each job up as a project with tasks, milestones, a budget and its contract, and posts purchases and expenses to cost centres. Budgets against actuals show early when a Jamshedpur job overruns. The CRM module tracks enquiries and proposals when the contractor bids for the next plant job.
Picture an Adityapur machine shop on a typical billing app. GST bills print and stock is counted, but the books often live with an accountant in another package or a spreadsheet, so the trial balance is rebuilt at month or year end. Credit-book apps note who owes the shop money without stock, purchases or a double-entry ledger.
Separate accounting packages handle books well, while dispatch data is exported or re-keyed. In Skyline Nexus ERP, once Auto-post Sales Transactions is on, every final sale posts sales, output tax, cost of goods and inventory in a balanced journal, and purchases, payments and expenses follow. The Jamshedpur shop's P&L and balance sheet stay current beside its work orders.
India tax integration
Jharkhand has GST State code 20: every GSTIN registered in Jharkhand starts with 20. Sales inside Jharkhand carry CGST + SGST; sales to another State carry IGST. A branch in another State needs its own GSTIN and the right place of supply on each invoice: in Skyline Nexus ERP you choose the intra-State or inter-State tax group on the sale.
GST rates in force since 22 September 2025 (5%, 18%, 40%; 0.25%, 1.5% and 3% for stones and jewellery) and older rates for past periods; a cess as an extra component of a tax group.
Tax groups combining CGST + SGST (or UTGST) into one rate, plus IGST rates, set per product and chosen per sale.
Prices entered tax-inclusive or tax-exclusive per product; the POS works out the tax either way.
Your GSTIN as the business tax number and the customer's GSTIN on the contact record, both printed on invoices.
An HSN column on invoices from the product category code, an editable invoice heading (for example "Tax Invoice" or "Bill of Supply") and a receipt design that prints each tax component in its own column.
Credit notes for sales returns, debit notes for sales and purchases, and purchase returns.
With auto-posting on, every final sale, return, purchase and expense posts output or input tax to its own ledger account, matching the tax report.
Branches with their own invoice numbering and invoice layout; a branch's own GSTIN can be printed on its invoices from a location field.
Tax report: input tax on purchases, output tax on sales and tax on expenses for any period, branch or contact.
Trial balance, general ledger and day book with the input and output tax accounts, exported to Excel or PDF.
Audit Pack: one Excel workbook with trial balance, balance sheet, P&L, journals, sales, purchases and a ledger tax summary.
Sales and purchase lists your chartered accountant can use to prepare GST returns. Skyline Nexus ERP does not file returns itself.
Automatic CGST + SGST or IGST from the place of supply.
HSN and SAC codes per item with validation, and separate B2B, B2C and export invoice types.
GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B style summaries and input tax credit matching: ask us.
E-invoicing through the Invoice Registration Portal (IRN and signed QR): the India connector is built but not live. Ask us for your go-live date.
E-way bills and direct filing on the GST portal.
Reverse-charge marking for India, TDS and TCS.
Indian payroll items (PF, ESI, professional tax) are not offered: payroll in Skyline Nexus ERP is built for Saudi Arabia.

A Jamshedpur GSTIN starts with 20, Jharkhand's code. Parts delivered to a plant in the same State carry CGST plus SGST at half the rate each, but a consignment to a buyer in Kharagpur or Kolkata, just across the West Bengal border, carries IGST at the full rate. Registration applies above INR 20 lakh, or INR 40 lakh for most goods-only suppliers.
Skyline Nexus ERP treats GST as tax groups you build, such as CGST 9% with SGST 9% or IGST 18%; staff choose the group per invoice and an HSN column can print from the category code. Ancillaries above INR 5 crore must obtain an IRN for each B2B invoice, a step Skyline Nexus does not handle yet, and e-way bills remain on the roadmap.
Skyline takes Indian customers through a waitlist and a demo; the page buttons read Join the waitlist, Book a demo and Ask on WhatsApp. A Jamshedpur unit should prepare its item and raw-material list with opening stock as CSV, buyer and supplier contacts with GSTIN and balances, the chart of accounts and its main bills of materials.
In Skyline Nexus ERP the currency is INR, the year starts in April, dates read dd-mm-yyyy and invoice totals appear in words in lakh and crore. Supervisors in Adityapur can choose English or the Hindi interface translation. Questions go to support by WhatsApp, phone or e-mail; Skyline has no office in India.
A Jamshedpur business is registered in Jharkhand, so its GSTIN begins with 20. Skyline Nexus ERP keeps that GSTIN on the business profile and on invoices, and records buyers' GSTINs on contacts. An Adityapur unit with a depot in West Bengal would need a West Bengal GSTIN, beginning with 19, for that depot.
Yes. A supply from a Jamshedpur ancillary to a buyer in Kolkata crosses from Jharkhand into West Bengal, so IGST applies at the full rate instead of CGST plus SGST. In Skyline Nexus ERP the user selects the IGST tax group for that invoice, because automatic place-of-supply switching is not available yet.
An Adityapur forging unit can run Skyline Nexus ERP for work orders, bills of materials, routings, raw-material stock with FIFO or LIFO costing and machine upkeep through CMMS. Finished parts sold to Jamshedpur plants post to the ledger once auto-posting is on. Skyline Nexus does not connect to buyers' supplier portals.
A Jamshedpur plant contractor can treat each job in Skyline Nexus ERP as a project with tasks, milestones, a budget and its contract, and post materials and expenses to a cost centre per job. Budgets against actuals reveal overruns. Indian payroll is not part of Skyline Nexus, so wages are processed separately.
Many billing apps give a Jamshedpur shop GST bills and stock counts, with the accounts finished later somewhere else. Skyline Nexus ERP posts every final sale, purchase, payment and expense to a double-entry ledger once auto-posting is on, beside manufacturing and projects. Some billing apps already offer e-invoicing and offline billing, which Skyline Nexus does not yet.
Jamshedpur staff can use Skyline Nexus ERP in English or through its Hindi interface translation. Amounts are in INR, dates follow dd-mm-yyyy, and invoices can spell the total in words in lakh and crore, which buyers in Bistupur and the plants are used to reading.
Before a Skyline Nexus ERP demo, a Jamshedpur firm should join the India waitlist on this page and gather CSV files of items, opening stock and contacts with GSTINs, plus its chart of accounts and key bills of materials. Demos are booked online or by WhatsApp, and support continues by WhatsApp, phone and e-mail, with no office in India.
