Ranchi, Jharkhand, India
Ranchi is Jharkhand's capital, so many firms here supply departments and public-sector offices while others sell on Main Road and Upper Bazar; Skyline Nexus ERP handles both from one ledger.
With auto-posting switched on, each final sale and purchase posts its own journal, so a Ranchi supplier can see receivables and profit before the next tender.
Plans from $19 per month, plus VAT where it applies · Prices shown in USD; we do not publish a price list for India yet.
Skyline Nexus ERP cannot yet meet the e-invoicing rules that apply to your business in India. Leave your details and we will contact you when it can.
Ranchi at a glance
Ranchi mixes a capital city with a market town. The secretariat, State departments and head offices of coal and engineering companies sit around Doranda, Dhurwa and Kanke Road, while Main Road, Upper Bazar and Lalpur hold wholesale and retail trade. Small manufacturers work in the Namkum, Tupudana and Kokar industrial areas, and JIADA's head office is at Namkum.
A Ranchi business registers for GST under Jharkhand, takes its trade licence from the Ranchi Municipal Corporation and, if it is a small unit, often records Udyam registration as an MSME. The typical owner deals with long payment cycles from institutional buyers, which makes credit control and accurate statements more urgent than in pure retail.
A Ranchi supplier may deliver stationery, furniture, computers, medicines or civil works to State departments and public-sector companies, each against an order with its own terms. Payment can take months, and the owner must know which bills are outstanding, which orders are still open and what each contract really cost.
Skyline Nexus ERP records sales against each department or company with receivable ageing, and treats larger orders as projects with tasks, milestones, budgets and contracts. CRM tracks enquiries, proposals and follow-ups before an order is won. The Audit Pack puts the year's trial balance, ledgers and sales in one Excel workbook when a Ranchi supplier's auditor asks.
Retail in Ranchi ranges from hardware and textile shops in Upper Bazar to showrooms on Main Road and restaurants and cafes in Lalpur. Some owners run two or three outlets in different parts of the city, plus a godown, and want stock and cash to reconcile every evening.
Skyline Nexus ERP gives each Ranchi outlet a POS with cash registers, restaurant and kitchen features and weighing-scale integration, and makes every outlet a location with its own invoice layout, numbering and users. Stock transfers move goods from the godown, and branch-wise profit and loss shows which shop pulls its weight.
Picture an Upper Bazar hardware shop that also supplies contractors. A typical billing app prints GST bills and counts stock, but the books are often kept by an accountant elsewhere, in another package or a spreadsheet, so the trial balance is rebuilt at month or year end. Credit-book apps record which contractor owes money but not stock or a full double-entry ledger.
Separate accounting packages keep sound books, with counter sales exported or re-keyed. In Skyline Nexus ERP, once Auto-post Sales Transactions is switched on, every final sale posts sales, output tax, cost of goods and inventory in a balanced journal; purchases, payments and expenses post as well. The Ranchi shop's P&L and balance sheet stay current for each branch.
India tax integration
Jharkhand has GST State code 20: every GSTIN registered in Jharkhand starts with 20. Sales inside Jharkhand carry CGST + SGST; sales to another State carry IGST. A branch in another State needs its own GSTIN and the right place of supply on each invoice: in Skyline Nexus ERP you choose the intra-State or inter-State tax group on the sale.
GST rates in force since 22 September 2025 (5%, 18%, 40%; 0.25%, 1.5% and 3% for stones and jewellery) and older rates for past periods; a cess as an extra component of a tax group.
Tax groups combining CGST + SGST (or UTGST) into one rate, plus IGST rates, set per product and chosen per sale.
Prices entered tax-inclusive or tax-exclusive per product; the POS works out the tax either way.
Your GSTIN as the business tax number and the customer's GSTIN on the contact record, both printed on invoices.
An HSN column on invoices from the product category code, an editable invoice heading (for example "Tax Invoice" or "Bill of Supply") and a receipt design that prints each tax component in its own column.
Credit notes for sales returns, debit notes for sales and purchases, and purchase returns.
With auto-posting on, every final sale, return, purchase and expense posts output or input tax to its own ledger account, matching the tax report.
Branches with their own invoice numbering and invoice layout; a branch's own GSTIN can be printed on its invoices from a location field.
Tax report: input tax on purchases, output tax on sales and tax on expenses for any period, branch or contact.
Trial balance, general ledger and day book with the input and output tax accounts, exported to Excel or PDF.
Audit Pack: one Excel workbook with trial balance, balance sheet, P&L, journals, sales, purchases and a ledger tax summary.
Sales and purchase lists your chartered accountant can use to prepare GST returns. Skyline Nexus ERP does not file returns itself.
Automatic CGST + SGST or IGST from the place of supply.
HSN and SAC codes per item with validation, and separate B2B, B2C and export invoice types.

Ranchi GSTINs carry Jharkhand's code 20 at the front. An order delivered to a department in Ranchi or Hazaribagh carries CGST and SGST at half the rate each; goods sent to Patna, Kolkata or Odisha carry IGST at the full rate. Registration is required above INR 20 lakh aggregate turnover, with INR 40 lakh available to most goods-only suppliers.
Skyline Nexus ERP lets a Ranchi supplier build tax groups like CGST 9% with SGST 9% or IGST 18%, choose the group per invoice and print an HSN column from category codes. Government departments are exempt from issuing e-invoices themselves, but a supplier above INR 5 crore must still obtain IRNs for B2B invoices, which Skyline Nexus cannot do yet.
Indian customers start with the waitlist and a demo, via the Join the waitlist, Book a demo and Ask on WhatsApp buttons. A Ranchi firm should gather its product list with opening stock as CSV, department and supplier contacts with GSTIN and opening balances, its chart of accounts and the outlets or godowns to set up.
Choose INR and an April year start, and Skyline Nexus ERP will show dd-mm-yyyy dates and put invoice totals in words in lakh and crore. Office staff in Ranchi can work in English or the Hindi interface translation. Support comes by WhatsApp, phone and e-mail; Skyline keeps no office in India.
Ranchi is in Jharkhand, so every GSTIN registered there starts with the State code 20. Skyline Nexus ERP stores the GSTIN on the business and on each contact and prints it on invoices, which helps when Ranchi departments check supplier details. Skyline Nexus does not validate GSTINs online.
A Ranchi supplier to government follows the normal rule: registration above INR 20 lakh aggregate turnover, or INR 40 lakh for most suppliers of goods only, except ice cream, pan masala and tobacco. Some suppliers must register regardless of turnover. Skyline Nexus ERP records the turnover but does not decide registration.
A Ranchi supplier can record each tender order in Skyline Nexus ERP as a project with tasks, milestones, a budget and a contract, and track enquiries and proposals in CRM. Receivable ageing shows overdue department bills. Skyline Nexus does not connect to government procurement portals, so bids are submitted there separately.
A Lalpur restaurant in Ranchi can use the Skyline Nexus ERP POS with cash registers and restaurant and kitchen features, keep ingredient stock and post every final sale to the books once auto-posting is on. A second outlet becomes another location. Branch-wise profit and loss then shows how each Ranchi outlet performs.
Many billing apps give a Ranchi shop GST bills and stock counts, while the books are put together later elsewhere. Skyline Nexus ERP posts each final sale, purchase, payment and expense as a balanced journal once auto-posting is on. Some billing apps are ahead today on e-way bills and offline billing, which Skyline Nexus does not offer yet.
Ranchi offices can run Skyline Nexus ERP in English or with the Hindi interface translation. INR is the business currency, dates use dd-mm-yyyy, and invoices can spell amounts in words in lakh and crore, which suits bills sent to Jharkhand departments.
A Ranchi business fills in the India waitlist form for Skyline Nexus ERP on this page, books a demo or sends a WhatsApp message. Products, opening stock, contacts and accounts import from CSV files. Support continues by WhatsApp, phone and e-mail, as Skyline has no office in India.
