Patna, Bihar, India
Patna shops on Fraser Road and Boring Road and wholesalers in Patna City need the counter and the ledger to agree, and Skyline Nexus ERP keeps them in one system.
Once auto-posting is switched on, each final sale books its own journal, so a Patna owner with two or three outlets can read profit per shop at any time.
Plans from $19 per month, plus VAT where it applies · Prices shown in USD; we do not publish a price list for India yet.
Skyline Nexus ERP cannot yet meet the e-invoicing rules that apply to your business in India. Leave your details and we will contact you when it can.
Patna at a glance
Patna's commerce is spread along a few long roads. Fraser Road and Exhibition Road hold showrooms and offices, Boring Road and Bailey Road have shops, restaurants and clinics, and Ashok Rajpath lines up bookshops near the colleges. Old Patna City and Maroofganj trade grain and spices wholesale, while Bakarganj and Hathwa Market sell general goods.
Patients from across Bihar travel to Patna's hospitals, and students fill coaching institutes, so pharmacies, diagnostic centres, hostels and eateries are everywhere. A Patna shop registers for GST under Bihar, takes its trade licence from the municipal corporation, and many record Udyam registration as an MSME. Small units sit in the Patliputra Industrial Area and around Bihta.
A Patna electronics showroom, a sweet shop with branches in Kankarbagh and Rajendra Nagar, or a pharmacy chain near the hospitals all face the same task: fast billing at the counter and stock that matches the shelf. Skyline Nexus ERP provides a POS with cash registers, restaurant and kitchen features and weighing-scale integration.
Each Patna outlet becomes a business location in Skyline Nexus with its own invoice layout, numbering and payment methods, and staff see only their own branch. Stock is held per outlet and moved by stock transfer. Branch-wise profit and loss shows whether the Boring Road shop or the Kankarbagh branch carries the business.
A Maroofganj grain or spice wholesaler buys by the truckload, sells on credit to retailers in Patna and nearby districts, and settles with mills through the season. Payments arrive late and stock moves between the shop and a rented godown. Knowing who owes what, and which lot is still unsold, decides the year's margin.
Skyline Nexus ERP records purchases and sales against each party, values stock by FIFO or LIFO, and shows receivable and payable ageing. Contacts can be imported with GSTIN and opening balance. The Patna godown and shop run as separate locations, and the Audit Pack exports the year's books to one Excel workbook for the chartered accountant.
Think of a Boring Road pharmacy with a second counter near a hospital. A typical billing app prints GST bills and tracks batches, yet the books are often kept elsewhere by an accountant, in another package or a spreadsheet, and the trial balance is rebuilt at month or year end. Credit-book apps note which doctors' clinics owe money but not stock or a double-entry ledger.
Separate accounting packages offer strong books, with sales exported or re-entered from the counter. In Skyline Nexus ERP, once Auto-post Sales Transactions is on, every final POS sale posts sales, output tax, cost of goods and inventory in a balanced journal, and purchases, payments and expenses post likewise. The Patna pharmacy's P&L and balance sheet stay current per counter.
India tax integration
Bihar has GST State code 10: every GSTIN registered in Bihar starts with 10. Sales inside Bihar carry CGST + SGST; sales to another State carry IGST. A branch in another State needs its own GSTIN and the right place of supply on each invoice: in Skyline Nexus ERP you choose the intra-State or inter-State tax group on the sale.
GST rates in force since 22 September 2025 (5%, 18%, 40%; 0.25%, 1.5% and 3% for stones and jewellery) and older rates for past periods; a cess as an extra component of a tax group.
Tax groups combining CGST + SGST (or UTGST) into one rate, plus IGST rates, set per product and chosen per sale.
Prices entered tax-inclusive or tax-exclusive per product; the POS works out the tax either way.
Your GSTIN as the business tax number and the customer's GSTIN on the contact record, both printed on invoices.
An HSN column on invoices from the product category code, an editable invoice heading (for example "Tax Invoice" or "Bill of Supply") and a receipt design that prints each tax component in its own column.
Credit notes for sales returns, debit notes for sales and purchases, and purchase returns.
With auto-posting on, every final sale, return, purchase and expense posts output or input tax to its own ledger account, matching the tax report.
Branches with their own invoice numbering and invoice layout; a branch's own GSTIN can be printed on its invoices from a location field.
Tax report: input tax on purchases, output tax on sales and tax on expenses for any period, branch or contact.
Trial balance, general ledger and day book with the input and output tax accounts, exported to Excel or PDF.
Audit Pack: one Excel workbook with trial balance, balance sheet, P&L, journals, sales, purchases and a ledger tax summary.
Sales and purchase lists your chartered accountant can use to prepare GST returns. Skyline Nexus ERP does not file returns itself.
Automatic CGST + SGST or IGST from the place of supply.
HSN and SAC codes per item with validation, and separate B2B, B2C and export invoice types.
GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B style summaries and input tax credit matching: ask us.
E-invoicing through the Invoice Registration Portal (IRN and signed QR): the India connector is built but not live. Ask us for your go-live date.
E-way bills and direct filing on the GST portal.
Reverse-charge marking for India, TDS and TCS.
Indian payroll items (PF, ESI, professional tax) are not offered: payroll in Skyline Nexus ERP is built for Saudi Arabia.

A Patna GSTIN carries the Bihar code 10 at the start. Selling to a customer in Danapur or Hajipur means CGST plus SGST at half the rate each, while goods sent to Ranchi or Varanasi carry IGST at the full rate. A Patna shop must register above INR 20 lakh turnover, or INR 40 lakh for most goods-only suppliers.
Skyline Nexus ERP lets a Patna business define tax groups such as CGST 9% with SGST 9% or IGST 18%, pick the right group itself and print an HSN column from category codes. A supplier above INR 5 crore must get an IRN for each B2B invoice, which Skyline Nexus does not support yet; e-way bills and GSTR filing are still on the roadmap.
For India, Skyline runs onboarding by waitlist and demo, through the Join the waitlist, Book a demo and Ask on WhatsApp buttons on this page. A Patna business should collect its product list with opening stock as CSV, contacts with GSTIN and opening balances, its chart of accounts and the outlets that will be locations.
Skyline Nexus ERP is configured in INR, with an April financial year, dd-mm-yyyy dates and invoice amounts in words in lakh and crore. The interface is English, and a Hindi interface translation is available for Patna counter staff. Support is by WhatsApp, phone and e-mail, without an office in India.
A Patna business is registered in Bihar, so its GSTIN starts with the State code 10. Skyline Nexus ERP stores the GSTIN on the business and on each contact and prints it on invoices. A Patna firm with a branch in Ranchi or Kolkata needs another GSTIN for that State, set up as another location.
A Patna shop must register once aggregate turnover exceeds INR 20 lakh in a financial year; most suppliers of goods only can use INR 40 lakh, except ice cream, pan masala and tobacco. Skyline Nexus ERP reports sales turnover but leaves the registration decision to the business and its adviser.
A Patna pharmacy chain can run Skyline Nexus ERP with a POS per counter, stock per location, stock transfers between branches and purchases from distributors. Each counter has its own invoice numbering and users. Once auto-posting is on, every final sale posts to the ledger. Skyline Nexus does not connect to drug-licence or prescription systems.
A Maroofganj grain wholesaler in Patna can use Skyline Nexus ERP for bulk purchases, credit sales, stock per shop and godown, FIFO or LIFO costing and receivable ageing. Weighing-scale integration helps with loose goods. The Audit Pack gives the chartered accountant one Excel workbook of the year's books.
Many billing apps give a Patna shop GST bills and stock counts, while the books are completed elsewhere later. Skyline Nexus ERP posts every final sale, purchase, payment and expense as a balanced journal once auto-posting is switched on. Some billing apps are ahead on IRN e-invoicing and offline billing, which Skyline Nexus does not offer yet.
Skyline Nexus ERP offers a Hindi interface translation alongside the English interface, so Patna counter staff can bill in Hindi. INR is the business currency, dates can be dd-mm-yyyy and invoices can carry amounts in words in lakh and crore.
A Patna business joins the India waitlist for Skyline Nexus ERP on this page, books a demo or asks on WhatsApp. Products, opening stock and contacts import from CSV files. Support is by WhatsApp, phone and e-mail, and Skyline has no office in India.
