Ludhiana, Punjab, India
Skyline Nexus ERP links the counter, the godown and the ledger for Ludhiana manufacturers and wholesalers, so a knitwear sale updates stock and the books together.
India onboarding runs through a waitlist and a demo, and the GST features that are not live yet are listed honestly below.
Plans from $19 per month, plus VAT where it applies · Prices shown in USD; we do not publish a price list for India yet.

Ludhiana at a glance
Ludhiana runs on small and mid-sized factories and the traders who sell their output. Knitwear and hosiery units, cycle-parts makers and hand-tool workshops sit around Focal Point and Industrial Area A and B, while Chaura Bazaar, Ghumar Mandi and Gill Road handle wholesale and retail. Many firms are family-run, with a factory, a showroom and agents across North India.
A new Ludhiana business registers for GST with the Punjab tax authorities through the GST portal, deals with the Municipal Corporation Ludhiana for trade licence and property tax, and with the District Administration for local permissions. The paperwork pain is familiar: bills in one tool, stock in a register, and the accountant rebuilding the books at year end.
A Ludhiana knitwear unit buys yarn, sends it out for knitting, dyeing and stitching, then packs garments by size and colour before winter. Cycle-parts makers turn steel into rims, chains and frames in batches. Both need to know what raw material is in the godown, what is on the floor and what each finished piece really cost.
Skyline Nexus ERP covers this with its manufacturing module (work orders, bills of materials and routings) next to purchases and inventory in the same system. Stock is valued on FIFO or LIFO, so cost of goods follows the actual yarn or steel lot consumed. Cost centres let a Ludhiana owner see the knitting floor and the cycle-parts line separately, with budgets compared against actual spending.
Ludhiana wholesalers in the old-city lanes sell hosiery, woollens and general goods on credit to retailers from Punjab, Himachal, Jammu and beyond. Orders come by phone, goods move by transport company, and payments arrive in parts over weeks. The owner needs to see each buyer's outstanding balance, which agent brought the order and which godown still holds the stock.
Skyline Nexus ERP keeps contacts with GSTIN, credit balances and AR ageing, so a Chaura Bazaar trader sees who is overdue. Each godown or shop can be a business location with its own invoice numbering and stock, and stock transfers move goods between them. The CRM module records leads, follow-ups and proposals for agents chasing new retailers.
Take a Ludhiana hosiery wholesaler. Typical billing apps print GST bills and keep stock counts, but the books often live in an accountant's package or a spreadsheet, so the trial balance is rebuilt at month or year end. Credit-book apps record who owes what, not stock, purchases or a full double-entry ledger. Separate accounting packages keep strong books, but counter sales are re-keyed.
In Skyline Nexus ERP, once an administrator switches on Auto-post Sales Transactions, every final sale posts a balanced journal: sales, output tax, cost of goods and inventory. Purchases, payments and expenses post the same way, so the trial balance, profit and loss and balance sheet stay current and filter by branch, separating a Ludhiana factory outlet from the wholesale shop.
India tax integration
Punjab has GST State code 03: every GSTIN registered in Punjab starts with 03. Sales inside Punjab carry CGST + SGST; sales to another State carry IGST. A branch in another State needs its own GSTIN and the right place of supply on each invoice: in Skyline Nexus ERP you choose the intra-State or inter-State tax group on the sale.
GST rates in force since 22 September 2025 (5%, 18%, 40%; 0.25%, 1.5% and 3% for stones and jewellery) and older rates for past periods; a cess as an extra component of a tax group.
Tax groups combining CGST + SGST (or UTGST) into one rate, plus IGST rates, set per product and chosen per sale.
Prices entered tax-inclusive or tax-exclusive per product; the POS works out the tax either way.
Your GSTIN as the business tax number and the customer's GSTIN on the contact record, both printed on invoices.
An HSN column on invoices from the product category code, an editable invoice heading (for example "Tax Invoice" or "Bill of Supply") and a receipt design that prints each tax component in its own column.
Credit notes for sales returns, debit notes for sales and purchases, and purchase returns.
With auto-posting on, every final sale, return, purchase and expense posts output or input tax to its own ledger account, matching the tax report.
Branches with their own invoice numbering and invoice layout; a branch's own GSTIN can be printed on its invoices from a location field.
Tax report: input tax on purchases, output tax on sales and tax on expenses for any period, branch or contact.
Trial balance, general ledger and day book with the input and output tax accounts, exported to Excel or PDF.
Audit Pack: one Excel workbook with trial balance, balance sheet, P&L, journals, sales, purchases and a ledger tax summary.
Sales and purchase lists your chartered accountant can use to prepare GST returns. Skyline Nexus ERP does not file returns itself.
Automatic CGST + SGST or IGST from the place of supply.
HSN and SAC codes per item with validation, and separate B2B, B2C and export invoice types.
GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B style summaries and input tax credit matching: ask us.
E-invoicing through the Invoice Registration Portal (IRN and signed QR): the India connector is built but not live. Ask us for your go-live date.
E-way bills and direct filing on the GST portal.
Reverse-charge marking for India, TDS and TCS.
Indian payroll items (PF, ESI, professional tax) are not offered: payroll in Skyline Nexus ERP is built for Saudi Arabia.

Every GSTIN in Ludhiana starts with 03, the Punjab State code. A sale inside Punjab carries CGST and SGST at half the rate each; a sale to a Delhi or Jammu retailer carries IGST at the full rate. Registration is due above INR 20 lakh aggregate turnover, or INR 40 lakh for goods-only suppliers, except items such as ice cream, pan masala and tobacco.
In Skyline Nexus ERP a Ludhiana firm sets GST up as tax groups, such as CGST 9% plus SGST 9% or IGST 18%, and picks the group on each sale, since place-of-supply switching is not automatic. An HSN column prints from the category code. Suppliers above INR 5 crore need an IRN from the IRP, which Skyline Nexus ERP cannot issue yet, and e-way bills and GSTR returns are not available yet either.
India onboarding is by waitlist and demo for now: use Join the waitlist, Book a demo or Ask on WhatsApp on this page. Support comes by WhatsApp, phone and e-mail; there is no office in Ludhiana or elsewhere in India. Set the financial year to April, the currency to INR, dates to dd-mm-yyyy and amounts in words to lakh and crore.
Before the demo, a Ludhiana firm should prepare its product list with opening stock by godown as a CSV file, buyers and suppliers with GSTIN and opening balances, its chart of accounts and its branches and counters. Hosiery units can add their main bills of materials, such as yarn, trims and packing per dozen, so manufacturing is shown on real items.
A Ludhiana business is registered in Punjab, so its GSTIN starts with 03. Sales inside Punjab carry CGST plus SGST and sales to other States carry IGST. In Skyline Nexus ERP the user creates these as tax groups and picks the right one on each sale.
A Ludhiana hosiery trader must register once aggregate turnover passes INR 20 lakh in a financial year, or INR 40 lakh for a goods-only supplier, except items such as ice cream, pan masala and tobacco. Some suppliers, for example those making inter-State supplies of goods, must register regardless of turnover under the CGST Act.
Yes. Skyline Nexus ERP includes manufacturing with work orders, bills of materials and routings, so a knitwear unit can define yarn, trims and packing per garment. Raw material and finished goods share one inventory valued on FIFO or LIFO, and cost of goods follows the lots consumed.
Skyline Nexus ERP lets a cycle-parts wholesaler set up each godown as a business location with its own stock and invoice numbering. Stock transfers move rims, chains or tyres between locations, location-wise reports show what each holds, and staff can be limited to their own location.
Many billing apps print GST bills and keep stock counts, while the books are kept elsewhere and rebuilt later. Skyline Nexus ERP, with auto-posting on, posts each final sale as a balanced journal, so a Ludhiana shop's trial balance stays current. Some billing apps are ahead today on IRN e-invoicing, e-way bills and offline billing, which Skyline Nexus ERP does not offer yet.
Skyline Nexus ERP has an English interface with a Hindi interface translation available. INR is available as the business currency, dates can be dd-mm-yyyy, the financial year can start in April, and invoices can show the amount in words in lakh and crore.
A Ludhiana firm joins the India waitlist, books a demo or asks on WhatsApp from this page. Skyline Nexus ERP imports products, opening stock, contacts with opening balances and the chart of accounts from CSV files, so preparing those lists first makes the demo concrete.
