Nashik at a glance
Nashik earns its living from the land and the factory floor. Onions move through the APMC yards at Lasalgaon and Pimpalgaon Baswant, table grapes and wine come from Niphad and Dindori, and the MIDC estates at Satpur, Ambad and Sinnar make electrical equipment, auto components and machined parts. Pilgrims and wine visitors keep hotels and eateries around Panchavati and Trimbakeshwar busy.
A Nashik firm registers for GST on the common portal, takes company or LLP registration with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs if it incorporates, applies to MIDC for an industrial plot, and trades produce under the APMC rules overseen by the Maharashtra State Agricultural Marketing Board. Many owners combine a trading account, a cold store and a small packhouse.
A Nashik onion trader buys lots at auction, pays the farmer through the commission agent, stores stock in sheds for weeks or months, and sells to buyers across India as prices move. Grape exporters grade and pack fruit in a short window. In both trades every lot has its own purchase cost, shrinkage and handling charges, and profit depends on tracking them.
Skyline Nexus ERP records purchases by lot, values stock with FIFO so the oldest onions are costed out first, and posts sales, purchases and payments to the ledger once the accounting toggles are switched on. Payable ageing shows which farmer or agent account is open, and a Nashik trader can see the season's margin in the P&L while stock is still in the shed.
The Nashik MIDC estates host many small suppliers who machine, fabricate or assemble parts for larger electrical and vehicle plants in the region. They receive drawings and schedules, buy steel and bought-out items, run jobs on a few machines, and invoice monthly. Their pain is costing jobs correctly and keeping stock of raw material, work in progress and finished parts straight.
Skyline Nexus ERP gives a Nashik vendor manufacturing work orders, bills of materials and routings, inventory with FIFO or LIFO costing, and purchases that post to the ledger when enabled. Cost centres per machine or shop, budgets against actuals and CMMS maintenance for the machines themselves keep the plant's figures and upkeep in the same system.
Take a Nashik agri-input dealer selling seeds, fertiliser and sprayers over the counter to grape growers, partly on credit until harvest. Many typical billing apps would print the GST bills and count stock, but the books are often kept elsewhere, so the trial balance gets rebuilt at year end. Credit-book apps record each grower's udhaar, but not purchases, stock or double-entry accounts.
Separate accounting packages keep sound books, though the counter's sales usually arrive by export or re-typing. In Skyline Nexus ERP, after Auto-post Sales Transactions is switched on, each final POS sale posts a balanced journal covering sales, output tax, cost of goods and inventory, so this Nashik dealer sees a current trial balance, P&L and balance sheet by branch. Other tools are ahead today on GST filing.
India tax integration
Maharashtra has GST State code 27: every GSTIN registered in Maharashtra starts with 27. Sales inside Maharashtra carry CGST + SGST; sales to another State carry IGST. A branch in another State needs its own GSTIN and the right place of supply on each invoice: in Skyline Nexus ERP you choose the intra-State or inter-State tax group on the sale.
GST rates in force since 22 September 2025 (5%, 18%, 40%; 0.25%, 1.5% and 3% for stones and jewellery) and older rates for past periods; a cess as an extra component of a tax group.
Tax groups combining CGST + SGST (or UTGST) into one rate, plus IGST rates, set per product and chosen per sale.
Prices entered tax-inclusive or tax-exclusive per product; the POS works out the tax either way.
Your GSTIN as the business tax number and the customer's GSTIN on the contact record, both printed on invoices.
An HSN column on invoices from the product category code, an editable invoice heading (for example "Tax Invoice" or "Bill of Supply") and a receipt design that prints each tax component in its own column.
Credit notes for sales returns, debit notes for sales and purchases, and purchase returns.
With auto-posting on, every final sale, return, purchase and expense posts output or input tax to its own ledger account, matching the tax report.
Branches with their own invoice numbering and invoice layout; a branch's own GSTIN can be printed on its invoices from a location field.
Tax report: input tax on purchases, output tax on sales and tax on expenses for any period, branch or contact.
Trial balance, general ledger and day book with the input and output tax accounts, exported to Excel or PDF.
Audit Pack: one Excel workbook with trial balance, balance sheet, P&L, journals, sales, purchases and a ledger tax summary.
Sales and purchase lists your chartered accountant can use to prepare GST returns. Skyline Nexus ERP does not file returns itself.
Automatic CGST + SGST or IGST from the place of supply.
HSN and SAC codes per item with validation, and separate B2B, B2C and export invoice types.
GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B style summaries and input tax credit matching: ask us.
E-invoicing through the Invoice Registration Portal (IRN and signed QR): the India connector is built but not live. Ask us for your go-live date.
E-way bills and direct filing on the GST portal.
Reverse-charge marking for India, TDS and TCS.
Indian payroll items (PF, ESI, professional tax) are not offered: payroll in Skyline Nexus ERP is built for Saudi Arabia.

Every Nashik GSTIN begins with 27, Maharashtra's State code. A Nashik vendor invoicing a plant in Pune or Aurangabad charges CGST plus SGST at half the rate each, and a lot of grapes or onions sold to a buyer in Delhi or Kolkata, where taxable, carries IGST. Registration applies above INR 20 lakh turnover, or INR 40 lakh for most suppliers of goods only.
Skyline Nexus ERP uses tax groups you configure, such as CGST 9% plus SGST 9% or IGST 18%, and you choose the intra-State or inter-State group per sale; HSN can print from the category code. A Nashik supplier above INR 5 crore must report B2B invoices to the IRP for an IRN, which Skyline Nexus does not support yet, and e-way bills and GSTR returns are not live yet either.
Skyline Nexus ERP is offered to Indian businesses through the India waitlist on this page and a live demo, via the Join the waitlist, Book a demo and Ask on WhatsApp buttons. A Nashik business should prepare its item list and opening stock, lot-wise for produce, contacts with GSTIN and opening balances, its chart of accounts and each yard, shed or unit it runs.
The company file uses INR, a financial year beginning in April, dd-mm-yyyy dates and invoice amounts in words in lakh and crore. Support is by WhatsApp, phone and e-mail; there is no office in India. A Nashik exporter or supplier that already needs IRN e-invoicing should wait on the waitlist rather than move its invoicing today.
A Nashik GSTIN uses State code 27, as Nashik lies in Maharashtra. A Nashik supplier charges CGST plus SGST on taxable sales inside Maharashtra and IGST on sales to other States. Skyline Nexus ERP holds these as tax groups that the user selects, since automatic place-of-supply switching is not available yet.
A Nashik engineering vendor that supplies goods only may use the INR 40 lakh aggregate turnover threshold for GST registration; a vendor that also supplies job-work or other services is held to INR 20 lakh. Ice cream, pan masala and tobacco suppliers cannot use the higher limit, and some suppliers must register regardless of turnover.
Skyline Nexus ERP can track onion lots for a Nashik trader by recording each purchase lot, valuing stock with FIFO and posting sales and purchases to the ledger once auto-posting is on. The trader sees stock by location and payables to farmers and agents in the ageing report.
Skyline Nexus ERP suits a small manufacturing unit in Nashik MIDC that needs work orders, bills of materials and routings, inventory costing by FIFO or LIFO and maintenance work orders for its machines, all inside the same books as its sales and purchases.
A billing app at a Nashik shop is mainly about the printed bill and the stock count, and the accountant keeps the ledger separately. Skyline Nexus ERP adds the double-entry side: once auto-posting is enabled, each final sale creates its own journal. In fairness, some billing apps already offer IRN e-invoicing and GSTR features that Skyline Nexus has not released yet.
Nashik staff can use Skyline Nexus ERP in English or switch to the Hindi interface translation, which is available with many other languages. The business works in INR, dates can be dd-mm-yyyy, and invoices can show amounts in words in lakh and crore.
The first step for a Nashik business is the India waitlist form or a demo booking on this page, because Skyline Nexus ERP onboards Indian customers that way for now. After that, the team helps load lot-wise stock, farmer and buyer balances and the chart of accounts from spreadsheets. Help is given over WhatsApp, phone and e-mail; there is no office in India.
Skyline Nexus ERP is a cloud service run by Skyline Industrial Solution. We have no office in Nashik; support is by WhatsApp, phone and e-mail.
